Transferring music files to microSD card

I have just added a ScanDisk microSD card to my Samsung J700 phone. However when I connect phone to pc it only recognises the internal memory of the phone and not the memory card.

How do I transfer music files to the card in the phone?

It says on the manual this this phone accepts microSD™
memory cards up to 2 GB (depending on memory
card manufacturer and type). Check with your phone manufacturer if there are known issues with a particular memory card brand.

Also, try connecting the memory card to your computer via memory card reader and see if the card will be detected. That way, you can check whether the card is working or not. Save the music files from the PC to the memory card, then see if the music files will appear when you insert the card to your phone.

Can your computer read the memory card? It is possible that you got a bad card. If your computer can't recognize the card, you have a bad card and should exchange it for another.

The other possibility is that your phone may need an operating system upgrade to be able to read 2MB cards or just may not have that capability. Also, check your options. Is there some option you have to select to allow your phone to read the memory card?

How do i install itunes onto my samsung omnia 2

You cannot directly install iTunes on a Windows based phone - you do have various options, however. You can install iTunes on your PC and download music to your PC and then transfer the tunes to the phone using either file transfer, Windows Media Player or Windows Media Centre, or you could copy the music onto a microSD card and insert that directly into your phone.

Note that if you transfer music from iTunes, you may need to "translate" the file format into WMV or MP3 format befoer transferring it to your phone.

Phone plays most songs I load it with, but excludes some.

Downloaded music directly from my PC (not a cable) to an SD Micro Card initially. It worled perfectly until I decided to change the mix. When I wanted to change the music mix, I deleted music on the card (again using my PC) and attempted to re-sync. Music is on the SD Micro Card, but will not load to the phone.

hi sue i have solved this problem. to view pictures, videos and music on your pc, you would have to have a microSD card and the microSD adaptor. you save all of your images, music and videos onto the microSD, then you insert the SDcard into its adaptor then into the pc. I want sumsung sgh l700 driver

If your problem is transferring files between PC and SGH-L700, you have 3 options: USB cable (which you don't have), bluetooth connection and memory card.

If your PC has a bluetooth adapter, it's very easy: Just open both devices' bluetooth visibility, set a passkey for communication between them, then transfer the files in your phone using bluetooth.

The last option is, saving the data on your phone to the memory card (MicroSD) then inserting it to your PC using a simple (and very cheap) card reader. You can then transfer files between your two devices.
