I have an AT&T 2255 2.4GHz Digital Phone (answering machine and cordless phone with add'l handset). The volume on the answering machine has decreased to the point that I can rarely hear the messages left on the machine, and these are very low. Everything else on the base works fine. When I have to reset the day and time, the volume for those instructions is perfectly fine. It is ONLY on messages that there is no to little volume. What can I do?
Can you even buy a ''stand-alone'' answering machine that you use with your own phones anymore? I'd hate to have to buy and entirely new system!
