Everytime I turn on my PSP slim I can't move to a different screen. It seems that the screen was locked. The only way I could turn my PSP is by doing a hard reset. Please help. Thanks!

It sounds like you need a new LCD screen. That should fix the problem. They are very easy to install, just make sure you get a SHARP brand, and also be sure to get it for the right model. Currently three different types of LCD screens, one for PSP 1000 (original fat) models, one for PSP Slim (2000) series, and Slim 3000 series. They run about $50-$75 but should fix your problem. Hey it's cheaper than buying a new PSP right?
If he bought it from best buy, ask for a two year reeplacment plan. after that, you tell them what happend to your psp. by the way, the replacment plan is only $29.99. They will either try to fix it, or they will give you a new psp, the same exact type as you said psp slim, for free. But heres a catch. after you use the replacment plan once, you may not be able to use it again. good luck. P.S. what happend to your nephew, is what happend to me.
check your connections and try again. What are you working with a psp fat or slim? Cause they each take different types of screens. so that may be your problem.
You may have a dead pixel on the screen. Sometimes dead pixels will seem to disappear when the screen turns a different color. The only way that I know how to fix it is to get repairs.
