ASUS computers might need to have a driver installed for your application. Send a note (e-mail) to Asus Website and ask for the drivers needed for your model.

You maybe having spikes on the mains supply that is causing your computer to malfunction. Connect a surge protection power board to the main outlet and then connect all your computer equipment to the surge protection power board. A better and more expensive solution is to purchase an Uninterrupted Power Supply and plug all your computer equipment into this UPS. Make sure the UPS has the KVA rating that supports the power requirements of your computer equipment plus a spare capacity for any future needs.
Read the Printer Manual.. You first have to establish the wireless connection between the printer and your wireless router. It involves sitting at the printer and going thru the printer menu to put in the wireless ssid and password or network key. Then you can print out the wireless settings from the printer's menu and then go to your Asus PC.
Once you are at the ASUS PC you want to take the installation disk for the printer and put it in the CD drive to install the printer software on the ASUS. When it asks you about the connection, you want to choose Wireless Connection. It should automatically search and find your printer that is already on the wireless network. Just follow the steps to complete the installation.
The BEST solution is to buy a new set of plastics for the laptop. I have techniques for repairing such an issue, but it's complicated and requires a lot of skill and practice. If you can find an identical unit on ebay or something that has a cracked screen or is otherwise defective, these defective units make great homes for working laptops!
Assuming that when you moved the printer you installed it back on top of the 250-sheet tray (it IS required for the 3100cn model), it's possible that you may have damaged the electrical inter-connection between the printer base and the 250-sheet tray unit.
Take the printer base back off the tray unit and set aside. Carefully examine the connector on the tray unit and make sure the bracket that contains the connector has not been bent or deformed. Get some help and tilt the printer back far enough that you can examine the mating connector underneath the printer. If no help is available, slide the edge of the printer off the edge of a stable surface only far enough to see the connection.
Go to the support section of the HP website...you may be able to download a copy to your computer (if you have a fast connection) or even order a new disc.
I?m not sure about this one, but I think you should make sure there?s permission to access (share) the printer in the router and/or printer settings. If the printer is connected directly to the router, check if it?s in the right port and you?re not sending a print request to a different port. If that doesn?t help try to set it to another port in the router.
