Crankshaft Position Sensor is on the engine. Typically near the front or belt/pulley area. 9 out of 10 times near the bottom of the engine very near the largest pulley on the motor. Some vehicles( less than a third) have more than one. The 2nd would usually be located near the coil/coil pack(s) of ignition system.

I have a 2007 Kia sadona and I am look to see were the crankshaft sensor is?

Most of those sensors are located next to harmonic balancer in the timing cover housing. There is a reluctor wheel on the front of the cranshaft built into the harmonic balancer. It also might be located inside the cover too but near the front of the crankshaft. Does the vehicle have no spark? The sensor helps with the correlation to time the engine for spark.

My Automatic 2.0 petrol Trajet keeps sticking in 3rd gear when i rest/park car for a while the problem is gone then the cycle repeats,I changed crank shaft sensor this week but no good????

It is not surprizing that replacing the crankshaft position sensor did not fix your transmission shifting problem. The cranshaft position sensor is used for fuel and ignition control for the engine - it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the transmission.
i would recommend getting your transmission problem properly diagnosed by a professional that understands how your vehicle works.

WHERE IS THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR LOCATED

The 2002 Santa Fe came with three (3) possible powertrains (engines). The 4 cylinder, and two different V6 engines - i.e. 2.4L 4 cylinder, the 2.7L V6 and the 3.5L V6.

The crankshaft position sensor on the 4 cylinder and the 3.5L V6 are in the same place - Front Crank Shaft behind the pully (behind the timing belt cover.

On the 2.7L V6, the Cranshaft Position Sensor is located in the engine block (Left Hand Side)
near the flywheel (adjacent to the LH (Bank 2) exhaust manifold.

Note: Left Hand Side means the radiator side (front) Bank 1 is the firewall side.

Truck died while driving on interstate. turns over but will not start. is a 1996 ram 1500 V6, 3.9L

Hi, suspect a fuel delivery issue. first check for fuel, then check for spark.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5821173-doesnt_car_start_gasoline_engines . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

Where is cranshaft position senser on 97 nissan pathfinder

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is mounted on the top of the transmission bell housing. Assuming you are talking about the 3.3L V6.
The crank position sensor (ckp) is located at the back of the motor, driver's side, mounted to the transaxle housing. It gets it's single from the flywheel teeth. First unplug it and then remove the retaining bolt and pull it up and out. Reverse precedure to install.

No Spark: Were is the cranshaft sensor located?

The crankshaft position sensor is located on the bell housing (forward area of transmission where torque converter is located). It can be reached from below (driver side). It has one wire plug in, and one (maybe 2) mounting bolts.countrycurt0

Have the cranshaft position sensor checked and make sure the wiring isn't grounded somewhere. If the Crankshaft Position Sensor is bad or skipping a little the engine will crank but not start. It is located on front of engine behind fan. Haynes Manual (#24065?) has a great section on troubleshooting the sensors. Good Luck
