Now you must turn ON the radio, and let it turned ON for at least one hour. Then the radio will say only "SAFE". IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your Volkswagen radio from the car manufacturer, or from a Volkswagen dealer! You can find the radio code at: http://www.radio-code.co.uk/
The sequence of programming for a 2004 VW Jetta radio is: 1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed. 2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt. For example: we have the security code "5079". Then: 3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted. 4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted. 5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted. 6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted. 7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!
the trick is to hold the rest button, plug it in and keep holding the rest button for 30 to 45 seconds after that (I usually hold it for at least a minute, just to be sure)
You have probably lost the frequency settings on the memory when the battery was replaced. Please follow carefully the way to set up your memory once again. swittch on the radio, scan for manual/ auto as desired. if the signals are strong you can scan/seek search and memorise. if not scan and select the channel location and press the preset button to store according to your need. Also chose the clock setting and set the time by scrolling, shift to the next digit and set. Hope this advice helps. Good day
After sitting all day in the parking lot at work, I started the truck to go home and everything seemed back to normal. There must be some sort of time related reset. I have not tried pushing the MODE button again and probably won't until I need to.
TURN IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION THEN BACK TO OFF 3 TIMES 3RD TIME
LEAVE IT IN ON POSITON THEN DEPRESS GAS PETAL TO FLOOR 3 TIMES. TURN
KEY OFF SHOULD BE RESET
On my 2005 impala you turn the ignition on and turn the radio
off. Push down the tune nob until settings is displayed on the radio.
Push the seek button until you see oil life. Push the next button on
the radio until you see the word reset then push the tune nob again.
this will reset the oil timer on the car and change oil light should
turn off.
First, make sure the batteries are good and capable of being recharged. Before setting the time, depress the 'Reset' then set the time. If set does not come on when the On-Off button is pushed or comes on and immediately turns off - depress the 'Reset' button a couple of times and then reset the clock and try the On-Off button again.
This error indicates a cassette mechanism malfunction. It happens usually when you don't operate the camecorder for long time leaving the cassette inside and the battery attached. Solution: 1. Open the cassette housing and nock GENTLY with your finger tip on the cassette cabinet (particularly on the position marked "push") until the cassette is released. 2. Push on the right place (marked "push") to close and then close the cassette housing 3. Operate the cassette (play, fast forward/backward). Repeat the above steps several times until the problem is gone. Advise: Remove the battery and cassette when leaving the camecorder for long period without being operated, and store the camcorder in a dust/humidity protected place.
Hope this can help.
