SOURCE: Wring for trolling motor

just hook the two batteries up in series. To do this buy one short cable and use it to hook the positive of one of the batteries to the negative pole of the other. Then use the two remaining poles, one positive and one negative to hook up to the motor. good luck

SOURCE: new MotorGuide VariMAX trolling motor does not run

The motor should work without the circuit breaker for a test. The breaker is a safety device to protect the motor and wires if something malfunctions.

SOURCE: Foot pedal on Motorguide is out of time with steering...

There should be a couple of allen screws on the shaft that you can loosen, which should allow you to swing the motor head in the direction you want it to be pointing for the desired pedal position. Tighten and carry on.

SOURCE: I have a motorguide trolling motor and the front

With the top off take the six screws out and lift the cable and gear out. Next put your foot pedal at mid position. Then make sure the motor is pointed forward and reinstall the slider gear and the six screws. Last put the top on and make sure the arrow indicator is pointing forward and thats it.

Minnkota trolling motor, directional arrow won't work but foot pedal does?

I, personally, never look at the arrow.. run be "feel" ..when you are running the boat from the trolling motor, you can sense which way the boat is going. Run by "feel" and you will become a much better trolling motor operator.. and a BETTER Fisherperson!!! This way you NEVER have to look down just to see where you are going...this is what really amateur fisherman do!! PRACTICE running the trolling motor TOO!!

How do you reset remote for w75 wireless trolling motor

Its very easy:

Reprogramming the Wireless Foot Pedal or RemoteNOTE: This activation procedure applies to the foot pedal and remote.

IMPORTANT: To activate multiple foot pedals or remotes, the motor must be unplugged from the power source and then plugged

back into the power source between activating each control device.

1. Unplug the battery cables from the power source. Wait 30 seconds and then plug the motor into the power source.

2. In less than ten seconds, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons on either the handheld remote or the foot pedal controller

simultaneously.

On a Minn Kota All Terrain trolling motor, what should the MOM/OFF/CON switch be set to when using the foot pedal manually?

You should only use the MOM (or momentary) setting when using the push button the foot pedal. Con will just keep the motor running and your foot control will only allow for direction and speed!

Trolling motor doesnt work?

Most trolling motors have in-line breakers, I would start there & see if one went bad, then check the wiring under the foot pedal for broken or corroded contacts, then you will have to trace wires & make sure everything is in order starting at the trolling motor plug.

Minn Kota power drive trolling motor will not steer to the right **** huard

It is the circuit board in the foot pedal. You will have to replace the whole foot pedal. This is a very poor design. The thin plastic which protects the contacts gets a little hole which allows water to enter and consequently the contacts corrode. Has happened to me two times in past four years. It might be OK for operation in a dirt-free water-free environment; but not under actual fishing conditions.
