Hi
could you send me the model of your yamaha.
Please use the add a comment link, as if you accept the solution I will no longer be able to respond to you.
Thanks
Okay, when you are at the step 8 go and adjust the volume on the zone 2.
that should have solved the problem.
Please use this page
http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/email...
Send them the problem, include the model of the receiver and the error Zone 2 volume fix.
They should get back to you in few days with instructions.

I have a yamaha RX-V659 AV Receiver
I tried that again - when I go to adjust the volume after I get to the D Multi Zone step it still says Zone 2 - Volume Fix.
I have a yamaha receiver (RX-V659). Zone 2 is not playing any sound. When I go to adjust the volume it says "zone 2 volume fix".
I get to the D MultiZone display and then try to adjust the volume and I keep getting Zone 2 Volume Fix again.
I have tried these things. Any other advice?
I have used the manual and everything is set up fine. What else can be done.
