I have a yamaha receiver. Zone 2 is not playing any sound. When I go to adjust the volume it says "zone 2 volume fix". I saw these directions below on your website to help solve this problem. However, I go through all the steps and when I get to the last step (D Multi zone) I don't know what to do from there. Below it just says Navigate from there. Please help. Thanks!! From your website.... FIX ZONE @ SOUND - STUCK ON "ZONE 2 - FIX" 1. Press "Amp" button (right side of remote - 1/3 way down) 2. Press "Menu" button (center of remote - 1/2 way down) 3. Press "TV VOL" button (green letters) until "Manual Setup" is displayed on receiver 4. Press "Enter" button (green letters) 5. Press "TV VOL" button (green letters) until "3 Option Menu" is displayed on receiver 6. Press "Enter" button (green letters) 7. Press "TV VOL" button (green letters) until "D Multi Zone" is displayed on receiver 8. Navigate from there Good Luck!

I have a yamaha receiver (RX-V659). Zone 2 is not playing any sound. When I go to adjust the volume it says "zone 2 volume fix".

I get to the D MultiZone display and then try to adjust the volume and I keep getting Zone 2 Volume Fix again.

ZONE2 RXV673 DOES NOT WORK

Look in the speaker setup menu. The zone 2 speakers usually default to surround back, and you must go into the setup menu and tell it you want to use zone 2.

Yamaha rx-v1600. I am failing in my attempt to get sund out of zone 2 speakers. I have the 2nd zone speakers hooked into surround zone 2/3. In primary zone I only have center and surround back as my fronts...

After 6.5 hours, I am now listening to music outside on my patio using my rxv-1600!
Connect your speakers to the Presence Zone 2(3) output on back. Then power up amp and select zone 2 on front of amp. Nothing will happen, because as I found out, you must route an input to zone 2 or 3. Which is cool, because you can listen to something outside that is different from your inside.
You select what to route to the zone by pressing Zone Control button, just right of zone 2 and 3 button. While you see red zone light blinking, rotate input select knob to prefered input, i.e. radio/cd/aux/etc... also, you can adjust volume by pressing zone control and turning up the volume knob, only while ZONE light is blinking.
hope that helps, i know i was frustrated figuring that out!

Zone 2

If you are using an external amp, "fixed" is what you will see on the Yamaha's display when you want to change the volume. If you are using the power of the Yamaha's Zone 2 outputs, you need to go into the "Menu" then "Manual Settings" then "Options or Zone 2" and set it for "Int" That will solve your problem.

On zone 2 of my yamaha rx v663 receiver it says fixed when I try to adjust the vlume and won't let me cut it up or down.

Check the setup menu of the receiver on zone 2 settings most likely the error is a fixed volume setting for this zone. If not found, reset factory settings and try to setup everything again. If the problems persists, contact your vendor if still under warranty.

Yamaha RX-V663 Multi-zone question.

i just got the same receiver like few days ago im still leaning it too,it is a very nice receiver though. here is some settings to help you.
check this to make sure zone 2 is showing in the menu,
on remote
menu, basic setup, speaker set, extra should show zone 2 it might show zone b...presence...or none needs set on zone 2 hit the left a-e/cat button it is weird the right doesnt circle all around? i had to call crutchfield tech for that one(GREAT COMPANY!)so that is for the setting to make sure zone 2 is set up now some to adjust the volume.
menu, manual, options, zone 2 set. here you can set 2 features
max volume( the loudest it will play) inti vol(the volume that it will play at when it is turned on) the yamaha has alot of quirks to it but has a very nice sound. for second zone features and a easier receiver to set up i have onkyo and they are very easy to set up zone 2 olume and everything on the front panel. hope you dont have to try to program a universal remote to work it seems yamaha uses discrete codes that are impossible to find i tried one universal and can only get very basic features to work.
hope this helps you out,
jeff
