E-9 error in Fujitsu fi-6670/fi-6770 is the Image Memory Alarm which implicates scanner memory malfunction.Turn off and turn on the scanner, does the same symptom still occurs? If yes, then you may have to replace the DIMM located at the memory slots on the CGA board. If the issue still persists after replacement of DIMM, then you may have to replace the Control PCA. I would recommend to contact an authorized FUJITSU scanner service provider or the dealer where you purchased the scanner.

Hi,This error is Background switchover alarm. Check the background change over mechanism drive and BW motor functioning or not? Cleaning the mechanism may resolve the issue.

Hi,
If you have reinstalled windows, on this hardrive using a different computer, it would not load into windows on the nortino 6770, because the windows now has the settings compatible with the other computer not this machine.
To get around this problem, you would have to reinstall windows, by placing the haddrive in the 6770 only. To do this , you can either copy the contents of the windows cd , to a flash drive or pen drive ,and then connect the same to the USB port of the laptop.
The other way , is connect an external USB cd drive and install the same.

if the user tools interface (small'123' button) isnt locked, you need to go into sytem settings menu and switch of the 'user codes' function.
