Check physical connections first, check monitor cable if securely plugged in and then check power light of monitor. If power light on monitor is amber or yellow it means that monitor is not getting a signal from cpu/ tower. Try to do a power drain on the computer, remove power cable at the back of the computer and then press and hold the power button for 10 secs, after that plug in power cable again and restart the computer.Check if there is any connection if not then try to use another monitor, a known good one. If you get a video from another monitor it means monitor is already defective.
First open cpu cabinet then REFIX RAM memory.
Pull cmos cell for 10 minutes then all settings are defaults.
Then reconnect vga cable from your monitor to cpu vga port.
Then when you power up press continue F8 key so you can see safe mode and other menu then enter in enable vga mode then go to control panel then dispaly property then settings then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and ok.
Then restart and check .
Did you your CPU Fan inside, that's the one who make some noises inside. If your computer is failing to start then check CPU inside, all the peripherals double check on it. From VGA Card, Memory and other devices, maybe its not properly connected inside. Good luck!
Check your num lock key status press it on and off if hum lock led is on and off when u pressing then your cpu working fine. so check connectiopn of vga cable cpu to monitor. Also some times display screeen resolution issue so when u power up press F8 key then enter in enable vga mode then you can chang escreen resolution to 1024*768. but if num lock key is not on and offf then open the cabinet of cpu then find cmos cell on mother bord and pull it for 14 minutes then check .
you have to narrow down the issue.. is it with the pc? or monitor? if you think the cpu... is the power supply fan working? is the cpu overheating? if you think its the monitor...be sure the card is seated properly and check all cables
First Check the power cable of ur monitor whether power is coming or not..
Then remove signal cable (which is connect the cpu) and then switch one the power, check whether any msg is coming in screen.(like no signal or no connection) if it comes means u want to check the cpu or else their is problem in ur monitor..
Connect the another monitor with ur cpu.Whether ur cpu is working properly..
check the processor fan is working or not. check its connector. Also check if there is any beep sound.
