    1) B & D CHARGES $ 50 MORE FOR THE BATTERY THAN OTHER SUPPLIERS.

    2) TRIED TO DOWN LOAD THE MANUAL, BUT MY BROWSER REPORTS "SITE UNRESPONSIVE" EACH TIME. IS THERE ANOTHER SITE? MY WIFE WANTS THE LAWN MOWED. h

  • cjhcpa Jun 23, 2009

FINALLY GOT THE "USER" MANUAL TO DOWNLOAD. I NEED THE "REPAIR" MANUAL TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM. CAN YOU HELP? h

  • cjhcpa Jun 23, 2009

SORRY, I NEED THE REPAIR DETAILS. I"M GOING TO USE A DIFFERENT EXPERT. h

  • cjhcpa Jun 23, 2009

IF I COULD COPY THE REPAIR MANUAL, OR GET DETAIL INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REMOVE AND REPLACE THE BATTERY, I BELIEVE IT WOULD SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

  • cjhcpa Jun 23, 2009

I WILL TRY TOMORROW. I HAD THE COVER OPEN AS MUCH AS I COULD, REPLACED THE BATTERY, BUT WHEN I CLOSED IT, THE COVER DID NOT FIT WELL.

IF I PULL THE COVER LOOSE FROM THE SPRING CLIP, THE OPENING IS STILL LIMITED BY THE CUFF ON THE HANDLE. IN USE, HE CUFF KEEPS THE HANDLE FROM LIFTING.

WILL THIS INTERFERE WITH THE BATTERY REPLACEMENT PROCESS AND CLOSING?.

THE LAWN MOWER IS AT HOME AND I USE AN OFFICE COMPUTER. h

  • cjhcpa Jun 25, 2009

CAN YOU GIVE ME MORE ADVICE ON REPLACING THE BATTERY. I REMOVED THE OLD ONE (BEFORE CONTACTING FIXYA), BUT I CAN'T GET THE COVER TO CLOSE PROPERLY AN THE MOWER WILL NOT START. I AM IN OVER MY HEAD ON THIS. THANKS h

  • cjhcpa Jun 25, 2009

I HAD OPENED THE MANUAL, BUT I DID NOT SEE ANY REFERENCE TO REPLACING THE BATTERY. h

The site that you need for the repair manual is Dewaltservicenet.com and in the middle of the page towards the bottom type in your model number to get to the page with a parts explosion. I briefly looked at it and it appears that there are 2 bolts on the back of the cover and then you would lift the back and slide the 2 flats on the front out to remove it. Also a concern is that about a 1/3 of these parts are no longer available. If you need any more help let me know and have a good day.

Hi

Here is the user manual for your unit:
http://users.turkuai.fi/users/niohtone/cm600.pdf

You will need a pdf reader to open the file, if you don't have one or you can't open the document get one from here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

yes you will most likely require special tools to open the safety screws , I 'm not sure about the clips.

But note that

Battery recycling
Black & decker service centers will ensure that a non-performing batteries from black and decker products will be disposed and recycled. FREE INSTALLATION IS OFFERED WITH THE PURCHASE OF A NEW BATTERY. CALL YOUR NEWRST SERVICE CENTRE FOR DETAILS

If you can't get to the battery yourself it would be best to get in touch with B&D to get the battery replaced free aslong as you buy a battery from them.

if you need anything else or if you have any questions, let me know.
Thanks,
Ekse

probably a better, higher capacity battery or maybe you have been looking at the wrong type of battery there.

I don't have a service or repair manual for it.

How do I change the drive belt on a 7021r mower? The drive will move the mower on pavement but not on the grass

First, you need to make sure you have the right tools for the job. You'll need a wrench, work gloves, mower blade clamp, drain pan and fresh fuel. Check your owner's manual for the correct belt to your specific lawn mower. Belts that are not specifically designed for your mower will not fit properly and may wear down prematurely. Next, remove the spark plug wire. This is a safety precaution to prevent the mower from accidentally starting.
Now you can remove the screws that secure the drive cover to the mower deck. Once you've taken off the drive cover, loosen the screw that holds the belt tension spring to the transmission. As the screw is loosened, tension on the belt is released allowing you to remove the belt off of the front transmission pulley.
At this point you'll need to turn your mower on its side to take off the mower blade. Be sure to use a work glove to protect your hand when removing the mower blade. You can use a lawn mower blade clamp over the blade to secure it. Unscrew the bolt to remove the blade and then the engine baffle. Once the pulley unit is exposed, you can remove the entire drive belt. Insert the new drive belt and place one end on the rear pulley and re-attach the engine baffle. Then, place the mower blade back (making sure it's facing the correct way with bottom of the blade facing the ground) and tighten the bolt. Remove the clamp and return the mower to its upright position so you can place the other end of the belt to the front pulley. Remember to tighten the screw to the tension spring.
Put the front drive cover back on, tighten the screw that secures the cover to the deck and reconnect the spark plug wire. Add new fuel to your mower and you're done!

How to change the drive belt on a Toro 20016 SP Mower

The Toro 20016 mower is a front wheel drive mower and fairly simple to change the belt on. Start by disconnecting the spark plug to prevent start ups while working on the machine.

Remove the blade and adapter. The adapter includes the pulley for the belt.
two screws under the mower, with 3/8 heads hold the black cover over the belt. remove the cover and now you will see the transmission
The transmission, depending on the year of your machine will have a guard holding the belt on. Bend or remove the guard to remove the belt. Install you belt in reverse order.

You can get parts and special tools like the blade stop at a store like www.arcolawn.com

Wind rope pulley 6 turns. Push new rope thru both rope openings, one in pulley and one in cover. Pull rope thru pulley and cover. Tie knot in pulley end of rope, Slowely release rope so it rewinds onto pulley. Install hope handle, your done. was'nt that easy? You will have extra rope, this is needed to go from engine to handle support on your mower handle.

How to replace belt on self propelled lawn mower

There is probably a cover on the front part of the mower that goes to the front wheels. remove the cover and you should have access to the belt. Carefully remove the belt (don't pinch your fingers) push it back towards the motor. You might have to remove the blade. Place new belt in the pulley on the engine shaft then to the pulley up front. Carefully start the belt on the front pulley and slowly turn it onto the pulley.

Lawn mower troubles

You must first remove the cover assembly which houses the starter pulley. Pull the old rope completely out until it no longer moves. Hold the starter pulley and remove the old rope. Try to wind the starter pulley spring tighter if possible. DON'T LET GO. The starter rewind spring must be wound before installing the new rope. After winding the spring, thread the new rope through the cover and into the hole in the pulley. Tie a good knot in the end and let the rope wind slowly into the housing. Once you have this done, replace the cover, get the proper length of rope, thread it through the handle, tie a knot in this end and your ready to go.
