Question about Televison & Video

I have a 13'' television vcr combo, when I unplug it and then plug it back in electricity will jump onto the plug like it is drawing current. just doesn't seem right. otherwise tv operates normally.

Spark may indicate the quality of your plug or socket are deteriorated, replace them should stop the sparking.

You need to clean the video head. With these types of sets it's best to use a tape cleaning cassette. I should get a Scotch Head Cleaner Plus tape currently on sale on Amazon for around 4 pounds.

The VCR acts like there is a tape stuck in it, and it makes th TV shut off


unplug the tv,put a tape as far in as you can dont.DO NOT force it in.plug tv back in .turn power on and let it take in the Tape..you might have to help the TV take in the tape

Cable woes


get your remote, go to the TV menu and look for channel search or program, let the TV detect all channels.

you will have to do this if you unplug it or if the power goes out
