Question about John Deere 420,1020,2010,2020,2510,2520 Tractor Float

1 Answer

No fuel I just got a L100 John Deere from my neighbor for cheap. it ran when I got it but it ran ruff. Then died. No fuel to the Carb. I replaced the fuel lines and the pump. Still no fuel. I have fuel to the pump but no farther then that. I put a brake bleeder on it to try and draw the fuel threw it but it still doesn't help. What am I missing? Thanks for your time.

John deere L100 won't start after sitting all winter. what can I do?

squirt some carburetor cleaner in the carb. if it starts for a few seconds there is a fuel problem. sometimes water or debris will get in the carb and stop fuel from going through. take the bowl off and see if you see any of this in it if so clean it real good and it should run fine.

I have a john deere l100 when going to engage the throttle it begins and eventually dies out. when could be causing this????

Fuel issues due to ethanol gas, carb issues due to contaminants, broken carb linkage spring, needle valve, saturated float, dirty filter. You need to open it up and look around. Good luck.

My john deere riding mower model # lt160 will not start. what could it be?

Check fuel line. It could be stopped up. Also check inline filter or in tank filter for trash.

check your fuel filter. Is it dry? Mine was and found the vent in the fuel cap was plugged and it didn't allow fuel to flow through the filter to the carb

John Deere L110 won't start.

check the solenoid on the bottom of the carb see if there is power if no power check the safety switch on the brake/clutch if there is power remove the solenoid and put power and ground to it to see if it opens if not try and clean it with carb cleaner if that works and opens remove the bowl from the carb and check the needle valve on the float make sure it moves

I have a john deere riding mower model L100 it runs good but after 20 o 30 minutes gas stop going to the engine after it cool down it start running again does this mower have a gas pump

When it dies loosen the fuel cap and see if it will start. If it starts its because the tiny vent hole in the fuel cap is plugged.
