Shouldn't be anything else. The bar might just be stuck a little through buildup of dust and chips etc. try riggling the back back and forward to see if it will free it. The cover should be removed and the internal areas cleaned after each use for maximum life.

My Ryobi 10532 chainsaw chain will not turn. The chain lock is off, it is a new chain. I replaced the old chain as it caught in a stump and stopped turning

pull the chain clutch back towards the handle
it is not a chain lock but a clutch release that stops the chain from turning
pulling it back engages the clutch to drive it

Chain came off, how do put it back?

Remove the cover. Loosen the two bolts that hold the chainsaw bar. Slide the bar back (it has a long slot for adjustment) until the blade can be lifted out of the track and sprocket. To replace the blade slip it onto the sprocket and the bar. You must hold the bar level while replacing the blade. Be sure the blade fits into the track around the bar. Once in place double check the placement on the sprocket and pull the bar outward until all the slack is removed from the chain blade. Holding firmly, (it would help to have someone assisting) keep the pressure on the blade and bar while replacing the bolt nuts. Then replace the hood cover. Smile.

Blade keeps coming off

If your blade comes off it either needs adjustment or the blade is stretched to the point where it needs replacement. Try adjusting the blade first, the handbook gives full instructions on this and it is just a case of loosening off the lock screw, turning the eccentric adjuster until the guide link that slides in the guide bar just clears the groove. Re-tighten the lock screw. Make sure that the saw cannot start or kick and wear gloves when working on the chain.

We have a ryobi 4046C chainsaw and the oil is not getting onto the chain. Have removed the bar and cleaned the hole where the oil should be coming out from to no avail. This is a chainsaw that hasn't had...

Re problems with oil feed on ryobi 4046C, Oil is fed by worm drive and this becomes worn. Contact Augmented Agents on 0161 477 3388 and they will assist you with necessary parts. if you don't know which part ring 01628894400 they will e-mail you blow up plan and parts list. The drive cog is a left hand thread and can be nocked off with a drift of some description (I used a screw driver held flat) this then exposes screws to access oil pump

Chain not lubricating on Ryobi 4046c chain saw

Have exactly the same problem as you, think the oil pump is the problem but can't find a supplier for the part yet. I blew done the pipe into the oil tank using an air line and it was OK.

I bought a new chain to replace the poor one that comes with MY new 18" gas chain saw....but it does not fit into the groove on the bar....the new chain is too wide...the length is perfect though....does...

The difference is the gauge of the chain. The chain comes in .050, .058, and .063 gauge. I am sure that Ryobi does not offer but one gauge bar. This is just one of the many problems of dealing with the box stores rather than a full service qualified dealer. If you can find one in your area, patronize them. Not just when the box store lets you down but for everything. These type dealers are disappearing and are not being replaced and soon they will all be gone. If you can not find one in your area contact southern supply company at 205-833-2525 or email them at and I feel sure Jason or someone there can help you.
