Question about Creative Labs Zen Micro MP3 Player

I cant even put in any pic song to my creative ZEN 8GB

My vista can detect the device but when i try to put in song it say the decide is disconnected or not recognize but it still plugged in to my pc.
Cant even do format and upgrade software is there any other way to do it rather den send it for servicing Cost me $149 just to repair it and i don't think it worth it

Creative zen mosaic fails to be detected on my computer


First I think the your player does not work with Vista, probably that's why its not seeing it. The installation CD is supposed to carry the required software for converting preferred songs to the player's desired formats and it also should contain the desired drivers for windows.

One of the typical problems people run into with MP3 players is that they lose the software that came with the player and can't figure out how to get music on or off the player. So here's a quick how to. This will work with most brands of MP3 players, or even USB flash drives.

First you need to plug it in to the USB port, if you are running anything newer than windows 98 you won't need a driver. Double click on my computer and it shows up as a removable disc(usually drive letter f:), double click this drive to open it as folder. This folder will show you all directory's and files on your player, here you can delete any songs on your player by finding the file and deleteing it. From here you can also put your music onto the player by copying and pasting your music files from your hard drive. If you are not sure where your music is located you can run a search by clicking START>SEARCH>FOR FILES OR FOLDERS (if you are running XP click pictures music or video, check music then click search, each file will have it's location in small print below it's name, or you can right click each song and hit copy, then go back to f: drive and right click and hit paste, you can copy more than one). Hope this helps.

1. Firmware [for your player]
Get a download from the support site and install:
this will put maps onto the device. Communication with the software
on the computer is available after getting the next item (2.) is done.

2. Application software [for the computer]
2.1 Creative Centrale (+ User Guide) is usefull to get songs on your Mozaic.
2.2 Windows Media Player 11 can be used as well. Note: You'll first have to make a playlist: Save the playlist: Next Synchronize it onto
the Zen.

3. Drag and drop
Once firmware is installed you can also use the drag and drop method. Move music, pictures, video inside maps on the computer into the corresponding map onto the player.

Creative zen 2gb wont delete videos even if I hit delete it just doesnt do anything


delete 'em when connected to the pc..I post a driver just in case ya do not have 'em

I dont know but I read somewhere in Creatives manuals or online that they recommened not filling up the device completely with media. Don't ask me why, if they give it to you you should take it but I'm not creative lol

Frozen, Can't Access Files in Neeon, not charging either.


first thing first, there are afew things that we had in common; we owned neeon and we both had windows vista.

why vista?

as sophisticated it may seems, vista had so many trouble with the product. I believe that when you try to format the product with vista, it all goes well. everything vanished, the songs, folders, even viruses gone as if it were a new born son. when it all seemed nothing happen, you copy a song on neeon, you unplug it and turn neeon on. voila! no music appeared!

actually, the problem lies with vista itself. the solution is simple actually, no downloading required. while vista can't get the job done, you still had it predecessor, the marvelous windows xp!

just format the product again on your xp. vista can only transfer songs and organize the folders.

old stuff works well with all version of neeon.

believe me, if i had not discover this sooner, i would had trashed my 5 GB mp3.

Usb wont recognize


do you have media player 11?
try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
