Runtime error I have recently switched my internet connection to dsl from cable and my wireless blitzz card program continually gives me a pop-up window with a message of a runtime error. I have tried to uninstall and re-install the program but it hasn't made any difference. I can't seem to get a connection to the internet with it. I didn't have any troble before I switched. Is there something I can do to be able to use it again? Thank you in advance,Janet

Re: runtime error

Uninstall old internet service. and new programs.. then go to device manager and remove the wireless device and restart. it shoudl redetect wireless card and reinstall itself. iIF you have a wireless password WEP key you need to reenter it when reconnecting to wireless. also try home is free and has saved me lots of time with other slow pc's with strange errors

I need a driver for BWU713 Blitzz Technology Wireless G

The USB wireless device should have come with an installation CD, if not then go to the Blitzz WEB site to download the driver. If the ISP supplied the USB wireless device then they should have an installation CD which included the configuration settings for you to connect to their Internet server.

How do I hook my wireless usb netopia chip in order to sign on the internet

You ned to contact an Internet Service Provider to determine if your USB wireless adapter is compatible with their service.
Read this info for an idea on how to connect to the Internet :-

There several ways to connect to the Internet.
1. You can use a cable or DSL modem and connect this modem to the laptop with a LAN cable.
2. You can use a wireless router with a cable or DSL modem and connect to the wireless router using a wireless card (a PCMCIA wireless card or the laptop may have a built-in wireless card). This wireless card can also be used in WiFi locations such as the airport, McDonalds and Starbucks etc.
3. You can use an USB G3 wireless adapter. This type of device uses the G3 mobile network and may not give you Internet coverage in some locations.
All these require an Internet Service Provider and the costs vary widely depending upon the various plans they offer. Check the ISP in your area and compare the plans and cost of their plans and pick the one that best suits your needs.

Internet half works with wireless adapter

Kinda odd one this.. Have you checked properties of the wireless icon in control panel/network connections - check dns server is on auto? If so, start a dos shell, type ipconfig /all and see if the dns info is the same as the other working pc's you have.. Also when right clicking the network icon, select repair, instead of properties, that does a heap of things to correct problems..

Also, from another user on Fixya, try this..

you may have another wireless connection other than your own set as automatic, or more than one connection in your settings of the same name, so right click on your network icon in your task bar or in network connections in device manager and select view all wireless connections, click on it and when all the connections show, highlght, delete all of them, then close the window.

Your notebook should now indicate that it found new wireless connections, click on the popup and select your connection name and click connect, at this point you will be asked to enter the passkey if you have security enabled.

might help.. Rgds,

Recently had a Belkin Wireless system install at home that keeps dropping the line in my room so want to use ASDL cable to connect to my computer what is the best modem card to get to do this

Your ISP should provide you with an external modem that would be connected to your phone line, then you would connect the modem to one of the wired connections on the back of the router, or directly to the back of your computer.

However, if you insist on an internal modem, I would suggest either a U.S. Robotics or Encore brand.

Pci bwi 715 not working

All you should need to do is to Discover available wireless networks on the machine with the Blitzz card in (it should be able to discover the belkin Wireless router)

you should have a wireless utility program that came with the card that lets you alter the configuration so that you can connect to this different router.

My Blitzz BWP612 Netwave Point Wireless Notebook Carbus Adapter

It is never a good sign when a company's website is no longer functioning. Normally, I would say just go to their website and down the necessary drivers and utilities from the company's support section. One seems to be able to download all sorts of wireless drivers from it. It requires registration to the site though, and it may just link back to the already broken manufacturer's web site. If it is just the wireless utility you are working for, then you should be able to use the built-in Microsoft wireless utility (this is assuming you are running atleast Windows XP or later). Go to the control panel and open up network connections. Right click on the wireless LAN adapter and select properties. There should be a tab for Wireless Networks. Confirm the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings" box is checked. Once this box is checked, the windows utility will allow you to enter all your wireless network settings. Of course this assumes that your wireless card is still installed and appears in the Network Connections window. If it does not appear there, then open the device manager (Control Panel -> administrative tools -> Computer Management) and see if there are any icons with yellow Question mark circles. This willl indicate that the drivers are not properly installed for a particular device. If thats the case, right click on the device and select update driver. The driver may not have been deleted from your machine, and may still be located in this directory: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS
