Question about Cisco 7940 IP Phone
I have 7940 phones and one of them was working correctly until yesterday. Suddenly it start receiving calls but it wont let me make a call. I press the extension number and then dial and nothing happens. I would appreciate if somebody can give some advise.
Sounds like a firewall or ACL.
while offhook, press the "?" 2 x, see if there the phone is sending packets or go to the network settings and get the IP Address.
You could try to reset the phone to factory.
