Sims 3 disk authentication

I own a Satellite M65-S809, and most games work fine on it. However the sims , which installed with out a hitch, displays "Disk Authentication Failure" when ever I hit play. then it asks for me to insert the sims 3 disk but its already in the drive. I've heard with is a common problem, is there some way I can repair/update my driver so I can play?

Umm. you can update the driver but you may have the pirated version.
