I am assuming that you are accidently bumping your touchpad while typing. There are several programs out there to correct this issue, but the easiest one i have found is called TouchFreeze. It disables the touchpad whenever your are typing.

i have been getting attacked by my own isp. trying to open ports and take control of my system remotely my antivirus software is the only thing that stops them

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when you initiate.


You can also use a 3rd party application like TuneUp Utilities.

the word split-screen usually applies to microsoft office products. Click on Windows > Split on microsoft excel. Other than that, if you are referring to actually splitting the desktop. So you can have two desktops, then use VMWARE.... try googling it. It can manage multiple desktops.
