Question about Dell PowerVault 114T (0CC011) LTO-3 Tape Drive
Ntbackup does not recognize the media using ntbackup utility.
error saying "there is no media available with selected type, add a new media or click cancel to end"
Go to services restart removable storage service
go to device manager > disable and enable the tape drive. as Siju posted
Run NTbackup go through the motions, when the dialogue box pops up asking for a "Comphrehensive DLT driver for Windows 2000/XP/Vista" etc.. just navigate to
this fixed me....
if this does not work copy the file from another system

Check all cabling etc and that the drive is seen on the scsi bus and in device manager.
Make sure you have selected the correct drive type from the list.
This ois a common problem with ntbackup on all versions
I would suggest trying a different backup program since ntbackup / windows back up is a real pain as well as having no database of what is on what tape etc

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
