This will usually happen if you are using the phone while its charging. it will become hot in this case but, not instantly. if this happens instantly after it is plugged in, you should return it immediately. is is defective. the cell could blow.

Just to clarify, this will happen and it is normal if the heat starts to intensify after a couple of minutes while using the phone but, if it becomes hot within secs of plugging it into a socket, this will confirm a defect in the cell. return asap.

I have a 2002 hyundia elantra that headlights keep blowing out whenever I replace them

Cars today use high intensity headlamp modules that generate extreme amounts of light....as well as extreme amounts of heat. Because of this, whenever you replace a bulb module it is important that you should NEVER touch the glass portion of the bulb with your fingers - or anything else for that matter. If you do, the glass will heat unevenly and explode as soon as the bulb reaches temperature, which only takes a few seconds. It is difficult to do, but it is doable. You can use a clean, dry paper towel to hold the bulb if necessary, but the best way is to just hold it by the base as you install it. Also, ensure that there is no moisture inside the headlamp housing. Any water touching the hot bulb will cause instant failure.

Tip

Charging your power chair or scooter the correct way can make them last

Whenever you need to charge your power chair or scooter get into the habit of charging overnight. The battery level indicator lights will tell you if your chair or scooter needs charging. Whenever the lights are down into the yellow and especially if they are in the red. If you have the off-board charger, plug the charger into the charger port in the front of your joystick and then plug the charger into the wall socket or turn the on/off switch on and let it charge overnight. When you get up in the morning the charger should have a red light(power) and a green light illuminated (indicating fully charged) Always turn the charger off or unplug it from the wall socket before you unplug it from the chair or scooter. Never have the power on to the charger when you plug or unplug it from your chair or scooter. Whenever you get new batteries always give your batteries a full charge before use and then if you use the chair daily charge it every night. If you do not use your chair or scooter daily charge it at least once a week. Never leave the charger plugged in and on for more than 24 hours. Your batteries should last you 3-4 years if you charge them correctly.

Gateway laptop shuts down instantly when unplugged but fully charged.

I have come across connection issues on the battery terminals. Make sure the brass contacts are not tarnished or bent. Have you tried another battery?

I was charging my psp go in stanby mode for a nite. sudenly it turn on by it self, and when i touch it. my psp become so hot. what wrong with my psp? it is manufacture defect? Thks

If your PSP is getting hot when charging it, please unplug it.
Yes there is a defect in the battery or the PSP itself.
It is possible for such a defect to get hot enough to melt and to start a fire.
Don't charge it anymore.

My propel gets really hot on the back when i charge it. is it the battery or the charger?

It's the battery and the charger. It's best not to use the propel when it is on charge because it will stop charging and say, 'Charging Stopped, Overheating' Or something like that.

I have an HP laptop and the charger for the laptop wont charge it anymore. What could be the problem?

The charger could be broken or the connector in the laptop could be the cause. Most chargers have a light that tells you if it is working or not. If you have access to a volt meter, look on the power supply for the output.

Discharge Battery

If it is within warranty, have them replace the unit. Are you using a wall charger or a trickle-charger such as the USB Cable? The wall charger is the only way to truly charge it to full.

If you are using a USB charger or other trickle charger, after the device says it is fully charged remove it from the charger for about 2 minutes and then reconnect it. It will then charge (most of) the rest of the way.

If you don't do this, the problems gets worse and worse. After 1 day, the trickle charger may get you up to a 90% charge. After two days, 80%, etc. After a week you'll only be holding half a charge, even though the device is reporting a full charge while on the charger.

Another tip I have found is to perform a soft-reset after removing it from the charger, particularly if it has been plugged in for a long time at full charge (more than an hour or so). It seems like the device doesn't always detect that it has been unplugged and tries to **** down juice as if it were still plugged in. If you have noticed that your device gets pretty hot when the battery drains quickly, this is probably what is happening to you.

You also haven't mentioned the programs that you are using during the day. Some programs, particularly chat clients, will drain the battery in about 5 hours, though obviously you're not using anything like this while in flight mode.

One more thing. You noted that you were told that leaving it on the charger whenever possible is the thing to do. This is incorrect. The more the battery is exercised in this way, the shorter the lifespan of the battery will be. With any mobile device we're all bound to charge it every night, but once it is charged you want to take it off the charger. A battery being fully charged is just as bad as a battery being fully drained, so you want to keep it somewhere in between as much as possible. __________________
