Have you tryed a differant usb port? If the usb port does work at least some times it is more than likely a regestry problem. try this and see if it works. click "start" then "run" type in "regedit" "ok" click the + next to "Hkey_Local_Mechine" + next to "System" + next to "CurrentContro;Set" + next to "Control" + next to"Class" then click on "{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} in the right field, right click on "Upper Filters" click delete, then right click on "Lower Filters" click delete, restart PC. if this doesn't work the yes get a usb card to install. GL hope this helps you.

My VX revolution is missing too much left clicks. Sometimes I need to click 5 times to get 1 click. All the others buttons are working fine. How I can fix this? thks

Seems that the left mouse button needs to be replaced. If you have an old mouse, you can use it as a source of a spare mouse button, & replace the defective button on your VX Revolution.
However, you need to make sure that:
1. The replacement button is identical to the defective one.
2. You have enough skills to solder/desolder electronic components.

Vx problem:movement

First try this
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
If that doesn't do it theen try this.
Normal 0 Disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When the program asks you to connect the Mouse Receiver to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud

VX Revolution Cordless Mouse for Notebooks dead as a door nail...

I see no reason that the mouse should not work. They have the Xop driver and the install software. Download both and also read henote that they are talking about in. red. I didn not download it myself. If this doesn't work you can get a common PS 2 mouse for a small amount  most anywhere including Walmart.

Mouse doesn't follow

Hi,

I would venture that for some reason, the LED light at the bottom needs that much space to bounce back the signal for the LDR (light dependent resistor) to read properly. This could be due to a slight misalignment, dust in the bottom optics, weak battery (for wireless). A temporary workaround (which for some works as good enough solution) is to add a smooth spacer atop the rubber feet. Personally, I use a paper puncher to cut little circles on a slightly thick automotive sticker. The circles are then peeled of from the protective paper backing and attached to the existing/original rubber feet. This raises the bottom height which do improve light bounce and therefore mouse action.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
