the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Black Bars on all blu ray movies

Hi icmjrtdr,

Having black bars displayed when watching a Blu-Ray disc is a common occurrence, even with a widescreen television.

You may have heard or seen aspect ratios of 4:3 or 16:9. 4:3 is the ratio of a traditional television that is nearly square. 16:9 is the ratio of most widescreen televisions currently marketed. The reason that even with a 16:9 television Blu-Ray discs are displaying black bars is that many of these discs contain footage that has not been reformatted for television. The screen in a movie theater is even wider than 16:9, and rather than trim the ends, most Blu-Ray discs maintain the entire picture.

Depending on the options available in your particular television, you may be able to find a zoom setting that trims the ends and removes the black bars. It is up to you if you would rather see black bars with the entire picture or lose a small amount of the picture on each side for a full-screen experience.

Hope this helps,
Jason,

SOURCE: Unit plays DVD but no longer Blu Rays

That is because of a dirty or defective lens. When lens is dirty, the unit may still operate on regular CDs and DVDs and not be reading BD.

Try first using a lens cleaner for Blue Ray: Maxell 190054 Blu-Ray Lens Cleaner

If that does not work, the unit may be disassembled, and lense cleaned with q tips and isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution. See below:

How to safely clean a DVD lens?

Clean DVD lens, or replace player?

Clean CD or DVD ROM lens with a brush?

Being this a blue ray unit , I would suggest calling support instead of disassembling the unit by yourself.

if Samsung never included the brand Olevia on there remote, then its not going to work because it was never design to work with that brand. The only way to get around that is to get a learning remote or universal remote that has olevia pre program into the remote.. Olevia did come out with some learning remotes that is able to learn from other remotes.. the model its called Olevia RC-LRN ..
This company called Amergence Technology sells the RC-LRN remote made by Olevia contact them at this toll free number 866-965-3842

How to connect to wireless

This one has an ETHERNET cable spot - if your modem is within a reasonable distance, use a (shielded) cable to get the best connection. If you want to use wireless, you have to set up the connection (giving modem name and password) on the Samsung.

Code for samsung bd p4600

We would be happy to help you with that. Here is a list ofcodes that should address your DISH Network remote to your Samsung Blu-rayplayer: 645, 667, 580, 591, 738, and 517. Press and hold the VCR button locatedon the top of the remote until all the mode buttons at the top of the remotelight up, then release. Use the number buttons to enter one of the codes foryour Samsung Blu-ray player, then press the pound (#) button. If the codeentered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. To checkthat the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sureit will properly operate your Blu-ray player. Keep in mind that some codes maynot be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, please try theother codes listed for that device until you find one that is compatible withyour equipment.
