I'm not asking about a leaf blower It's a toro snowthrower model # 38600. what's the proper way to remove and replace the impeller blades?

You have to disassemble the entire front of the snow blower. This means removing the snow shroud, auger bits and then getting to the impeller blades. I did it once and it took me about 1 1/2 hrs to complete.

After replacing the flywheel on my leaf blower, the impeller assembly keeps spinning off while I'm trying to start it. Why won't it stay after tightening it down?

try disassembling the unit again and when reassembling add some loctite to the shaft when you put the nuts back on. Let it set overnight to dry and then try running it again.

How to repair Toro Super Blower no longer blowing, only vacs/intakes?

when you remove the vac part there should be another "grid type" part that snaps in place of the vac tube. This engages the safety switch and keeps your fingers out of the impeller.

Hitachi RB24EAP engine start but no blow

Check the impeller (on the side opposite the pull starter) to see if it is locked to the drive shaft (in the center of the impeller). The shaft could be spinning but, if the impeller is loose on the shaft, it can't spin fast enough to force as much air through the nozzle as it should.

I Have a flymo twister 2500 blow / vac it sucks up leaves and doesnt cut them up , gets blocked and therefore doesnt work, what can i do?

Your machine is very sensitive. By that I mean it will only take in leaves and nothing else. A little twig will jam it. I don't know what you mean by cut them up because you machine is not a chipper. You have one impeller which does the two jobs of sucking and blowing. If I am not mistaken it is plastic too which makes it not too strong. If you need to change the impeller, do so and just use it to blow debris. Good Luck

String stuck in fan

Remove the string.... split the plastic shroud in half by removing all the screws ( allen ) once the impeller is uncovered remove the center nut with a 3/8 drive air ratchet and remove the impeller then you will be free to remove the string. While you have the impeller off double check the four motor mount screws and make sure they are tight. reassemble.

Vac Attack II leaf blower knocks like HELL.

Is your fuel mixture ratio 40:1? Plus there is not adjustment to the timing. It could be a loose flywheel or a rod bearing going, or a loose impeller. Basically something at the factory did not do there job. It has a 1 year warranty on it. Or you can take to a shop and for a diagnostic fee, have an estimate done to see what it would cost to fix.

Can't figure out how to attach the vacuumm to the blower of our Craftsman Gas Blower/Vac #7179474

I know people buy this equipment to blow and vacuum. The main problem is if you vacuum up something that hits the impeller and breaks off one of the fins; you will have to take it somewhere to get the impeller replaced.
I would stick with it using it as a blower and get the rake out to get around the bushes.

My home lite yard broom blower has a vibration at hi rpm

I'm not sure if I have an answer, but I had one that had a broken impeller on the pick-up fan. You can check this by removing the shroud in front of the pick-up fan on the bottom of the blower and check that all of the impeller's are the same size.
