It is not picking up anything although just emptied and cleaned

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

If your DC35 doesn't seem to be picking up as well as it should be, there may be a blockage in the floor tool, wand or bin inlet. The filter may also need a wash.

In normal use, we recommend washing the filter at least once a month using cold water without detergent. Allow at least 24 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

Our online support guide will walk you through each of the checkpoints needed to locate and remove any blockages: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc35/dc35-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-wand

This should resolve the issue, but our experts are on hand to provide further assistance if you need it. You can reach us by calling the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

My dc 35 slim makes a whoowhoo noise and shuts off on its own

Hi Sharon, it's Jack at Dyson.

Like most Dyson cordless vacuums, DC35's digital motor is engineered to make a pulsing noise to let you know if something is stopping airflow from passing through the machine. This could mean the pre-filter is overdue for a wash, or that there's a blockage in the floor tool, wand or bin inlet.

To check for and remove any blockages, please follow the steps shown in our online Support guide: http://www.dyson.co.uk/support/dc35/dc35-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-wand

In normal use, we recommend washing the pre-filter at least once a month as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for the filter to dry completely before replacing it in the machine.

I'm confident following these steps will resolve the issue and restore full performance to your machine. If you'd like some further guidance from our experts, you're welcome to give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Not suctioning effectively

Hi Shari,
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC25. If the machine isn't picking up as well as usual, this may be due to a blockage - the filters may also need a wash.
The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online support guide:
http://support.dyson.co.uk/support/dc25/dc25-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/how-to-wash-filters/check-suction

In normal use, the filters should be washed at least once every 3 months, as shown in the video linked below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 24 hours for them to dry completely before replacing them.
http://support.dyson.co.uk/support/dc25/dc25-multi-floor/my-machine-is-not-working/machine-not-sucking-picking-up-as-well-as-usual/filter-washing-video

This should resolve the issue, but for any further assistance or advice, please call our Helpline free on 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US).
Best wishes,

Clean pump light on how do i mfix

Remove bottom plastic panel across the front of machine- it just clips off (use a small screwdriver or bread knife to prise off). You will now see a round filter behind this panel- unscrew anticlockwise to remove- this is the filter. Sometimes filter can be hard to remove if you have things jammed in it- give it bit of a jiggle and it should come out without forcing it. Remember- if there is still water in the machine, this water will come out on the floor once you remove the filter- put down some towels!! Happy fixing!!

It doesn't empty the water from the bottom wondering if i need to clean the filter ?

Yes!

You should be cleaning the filter regularly anyway (Between 1 - 6 months depending on usage of the machine)>

If there is water in there now that wont empty, pull the machine out and tip it back 45 degrees sop you can remove the filter without the remaining water spilling out all over you and your floor

Sounds like a blockage perhaps the filter needs cleaning or pump blades jammed...If its a Hotpoint then filter is middle of sump hose connected to the drum....

My whirpool duet washing machine is locked. The cycle doesn't get completed and indicates F02. We tried to unplug it, change ccyle and numerous times the pause-cancel button. How do I just get to...

The F/02 error indicates that your washing machine is not draining properly and thus taking too long to drain the water:
  • Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
  • With Power OFF: Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects: make sure you empty the washing machine water via the hose next to the pump filter cover first without flooding your floor! Incidentally, draining all the water will unlock the door.
  • If the above does not correct the problem, you will need to get the pump replaced.
Hope the information is useful: let me know how you go!
