Hi, Thank you for trying to help. I did put it on cable input with no luck and I also tried to auto program it, which it went all the way to 120, but it just act like there is no cable connected. "No Signal". Everything else works fine on the thing, do you think maybe the port for cable is bad/disconneted?

    Thank you so much

You may have to go into setup and ensure that the input is 'CABLE', If you have an 'INPUT' (or TV/VCR) button on the remote, try it.

Picture/audio problems on my HDTV

This is a cable box problem. Could be a lack of signal stregnth or bad HDMI output.

The SA boxes have a very bad history of this, try using the component video output and see if the problem persists.

The HDMI is a real glass jaw of those boxes; but this problem could absolutly be your incoming signal...high def channels require more signal strength and that is what causes audio drops, pixilation and flicker.

If it was the HDMI in the receiver/tv you would get:

- Black screen, Pink fuzz or green streak dropouts.
- "Fireflies"
- Audio cutting in and out
- Not pixilation!

So what is my approach? If the box is rented or under warranty get it replaced. If the problem persists then call your cable company and arrange a service call at their expense.

If the box is not under warrenty go ahead and call the cable company and complain about a poor signal. If the signal is good, use the component video output...it looks almost identical anyway.

Let me know if this helps,

Cheers!

We've had our 32" Vizio TV for about 4 months now and up until about 2 weeks ago, everything was working fine and all channels came in. Now, we only get about a quarter of the channels that we used to...

go to menu settings, find add/delete channel or programming or tuning. There should be an option that says "autoprogram" select this option and let the program run thuroughly. It will read and install all available channels. Do make sure tv is set to CATV and that it is NOT set on AIR.

Unable to pick up local ''free'' channels following digital change over. Using RCA DTA800 converter and Phillips 2750/27 antenna. Can pick up only one local channel, but signal loss is more often the...

first of all, make sure all your connections are secure and threaded all the way in. Next, go to the main menu and press 5 (configuration) and press 1 (search for channels) if this doesn't work, press 4(signal strength meter) and see how strong your signal is. You may just need to re-position your antennae. If all else fails try system reset(number 5) and repeat search for channels. I've had similiar experiences with mine but I have a 62% signal strength and still get 20-something channels. Hope this helps.

Ittermittent digital audio drop out on some channels

Did the issue ever get resolved. I have similar issues with a connection to Cox Cable HDTV and Onkyo TX-DX989. All sources (DVD Player) sound fine and not issues except channels 706 and 710 on Cox Digital receiver. I had Cox replace the HDTV receiver and the same issue occurs. I've tried optical audio and also the COAX audio ports with the same issue. The workaround I have found is to set the audio to "Other" on the Cox box, but the volume then has to be turned up quite a bit.

Channel settings

Most TV's have an option in the menu for antenna/air and cable. I t may also be labeled digital and analog as well. You need to ensure that you have this set to the signal you are trying to receive. Some TV's have two coaxial connections at the back usually labeled antenna A and antenna B or air and cable. If your's has this option you will need to be on the correct input for the signal you want to receive. I hope this is of assistance to you and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Can't Get A Radio Signal When I Connect A Cox Cable

Hi...
Some cable companies dont put the FM band on cable and some others put an FM trap (which kills the FM band) in line with the cable.
One of those is your problem.
You'll need to buy a FM antenna
