You may just have to guess and try it. As long as the L is right, you'll be fine. My guesses, however, would be 1-brown, 2-gray, 3-purple. I don't have a wiring diagram, those are just based on years of wiring. Good luck and have fun experimenting.

This is a bad situation. Ceiling fan 3-speed switches are not universal and neither is the wiring codes. I always make sure to right down the color codes and where they plugged into the switch before removing wires. I can maybe narrow one down but will assume no responsibility. L stands for line and is usually power into the switch, which is normally black, but not always.
