You may want to re-seat the right two cooking elements, in case there is poor electrical contact. When you have them removed, clean the contacts with denatured 91% alcohol and a Q-tip. The removal procedure follows.
First, unplug the range.
LIFT–UP PORCELAIN COOKTOP
To lift: When cool, grasp the cooktop front
edge. Gently lift up until the two support rods
snap into place.
To lower: Hold the cooktop front edge and
carefully push back on each support rod to
release. Then lower the top into place.
➢When an element is on, it will cycle on
and off to maintain the heat setting.
➢Coil elements are self-cleaning. Do not
immerse in water.
To remove: When cool, raise element. Carefully pull out and away from receptacle.
Check them for damage. They do wear out.
To replace: Insert element terminals into receptacle. Guide the element into place. Press down on the outer edge of element until it sits level on drip bowl.
COIL ELEMENT SURFACE
➢ On Canadian models, the two front elements will not operate during self-clean.To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire, never line drip bowls with aluminum foil.
If that does work, you may have a faulty control panel. In that case, call Maytag at the number below.

This is an easy problem to fix. If your repair man is correct and it is the spark module and not a wire harness problem you can pick up a spark module as sears for about $37 and it only takes a couple of minutes to install. Just pull off the back panel and replace the module. This is a repair that anyone can do. I would recommend unplugging the unit before replacing.

Often, this will be due to the element. The easiest way to troubleshoot is take a matching element(if possible) from the other side of the stove top and see if that works in the receptacle.
There should be some letters after the model numbers you listed. The last three letters also lets me know what type of top you have on your stove to guide you through how to access the parts. Make sure you write the full number with all the letters before ordering parts.
If you have the glass top or ceramic model, the connections are different than other types. The manufacturer warns customers and nonservice personnel to never try to lift these cooktops. If you would like to pursue changing or testing this element despite that caution, there is a picture of an element and switch below.
On some flat top models, you need to open or take off the over door before you can lift the top. Most stove tops will then lift off, but you may need to take off a screw or two.
Also, on Canadian models, the front two burners will not operate during oven cleaning mode. If you are a Canadian user, try to reset your burner by turning on and off at the breaker. Canadian users should also make sure that the timer is not set and open the oven door fully to make sure toasting is not engaged.
Porcelain cooktops simply lift from the front and are held open with metal supports. Replacing coil type elements on models with drip bowls (not flat top) is very easy; you simply pull out the element and replace with a new one that can be purchased in large chains and appliance stores.
You should check the receptacle and wiring underneath the stove top for signs of visible dirt, grease or other abnormalities such as burns or frays. Turn off the power, and make sure the wiring plugs are tight.
Make sure the plug in end of the coil element is not burnt or damaged. Check the coil for rough or discolored spots. Follow the wires under the stove top that plug into the coil receptacle to make sure that there are not burnt, frayed or broken areas on the wire coatings.
Testing the element for continuity and possibilities like the receptacle and infinite switch requires special tools. Testing the infinite switch would be extremely dangerous as it is done live with 240 current (unless you live outside the US). If you have testers, you can check the integrity of all of the above.
Another less likely cause for elements not working is the knob that controls the burner being damaged on the inside. You can pull a different knob to see if that works, but this kind of issue is usually obvious because it does not fit snugly and has play when you turn it.
Finally, if you are going to replace the element, or replace the receptacle or switch, make sure that you take the old ones with you with the full model number. Before pulling wires, take a digital picture or mark wires with tape/paint so that you remember how to reconnect.
Check your parts before leaving the store, so that uninformed clerks do not steer you wrong. If you need further info on how to remove and replace the items shown, leave comments. But, take a look under the hood first, because you might be surprised at how simple it all is. I hope this helps

SOURCE: Have maytag smooth top range.
In this case the burner switch needs replaced, if it works but only on high leads to the switch.
These switches operate like regular dimmer switches. By regulating the amount of electricity flowing through the switch to the burner they allow you to adjust the temperature setting, if you can't adjust it then the switch is bad. I suggest you get a new one from the parts supply and look at it and decide whether or not you need help with the replacement, they aren't hard but you need to decide and let me know, but it really is simple if you can unplug wires and plug new ones in and turn a nut to get the switch off your probably capable of this repair your self.
