    ijcnluv,

Please supply more details. Here are a few things to clarify:

How many BTUs does the unit support?

What are the conditions (ie. room size, ave temp, climate) of the area you need to cool?

    How old is the unit?

    Are you the original owner?

My samsung portable window air conditioner is 4 years old and it does not blow cold air. Like at 66 degrees it is not that cold why

It is either low on freon,or,the unit needs to be removed, and cleaned, especially the coils, the condenser coils, and the evaporator coils,be careful not to bend fins on coils, use a water hose, and clean the inside of the unit out, clean off coils real good, see if this is the problem,it always helps. If this was helpful, please rate, and thank you,

Not blowing cold air anymore

Possibly dirty evaporator coil or condenser coil. Maybe dirty filters. Also could be low on refrigerant charge.

Unit is icing up and not blowing cold air

Hi,
Usually when this happens, the unit is low on freon. If you have an AC tech come out, make sure he does a leak check for you. Hope this helps... good luck!

Panasonic air con unit is not blowing cold air out.

This unit is use in motels etc. Check the ouside coil ( conderser) from the inside (discharge fan ) for dirt. Most of these units are floor level . This can cause a unit to short cycle ( cold air is at the floor) .

Window ac unit is not blowing cold air

When the unit is running, go outside and put your hand near the condenser fins, this air that comes out should be slightly warmer than the ambient temp. If it is not you will need to take the unit out of the window and out of its outer case and clean the condenser fins from the inside, this is no easy task as it is very hard to reach. You will want to get a small (toothbrushed sized) brass bristled brush with a long handle. Make sure the evaporator coil (in the front) recieves the same attention and wash the mesh filter that goes in front of the evaporator. Re- assemble and enjoy the cold air.

Not blowing cold air, do u recharge this unit?

only after you find a leak. first u have to make sure if the compressor is running at all. condenser side spinning. if compressor is not working it will blow hot air if the condenser is dirty or blocked but then u would get a minute or two of cold air then hot. you have to determine its empty or what else might be the cause before you start dumping in freon.

Comp shuts off

Coils could be dirty. Compressor could be getting too hot and cutting off. Will have one fan motor that turns condenser fan and evaporator blower.
