Youtube videos not working- just plain black

You have 2 possible options...

1. the best option is install a proper browser to see almost every on line content, of course the best mobile browser, Opera http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/lg/gs290/
2. install a .jar application to see other video formats besides .mp4.

YouTube videos are in FLV format, please try to install Flash player from Adobe.com

my computer not a laptop won't let me watch youtube videos and i even downloaded the flash player

One commone reason for no videos is that you might have removed Flash player, which is required to play videos on youtube. you can download flashplayer here. Installing flashplayer will enables the playing of videos on youtube.

Probably you have installed any software recently that interrupts playing the video. May be that software just misconfigured "Flash" which is used for playing videos in YouTube.

Check if it solves the problem by reinstalling Flash.
