I just installed an LG 22x Internal Super writer
I just installed an LG 22x Internal Super writer DVD and my computer is not recognizing it. I have a jumper connecting the other drive. It is not picking up either one. Both open but nothing else. The lights do come on when I put in the software CD but it goes no further. My PC is a Dell Dimension 2400 Series. I have Windows XP Please help.... Thanks, Pat

I suppose your's is a SATA drive. Disconnect all the sata cables except for the Hard Disk and that of the Writer in question. Boot up and check if the drives works. If not take pains and try installing the drive in another PC (one of your friends'). If it still has the same problem check with where you bought it.
