Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S85 Digital Camera
When i turn my camera on i get the error message C:13:01 (memory stick error). I know the stick is fine does anyone know of a solution to the problem?
I had the same problem. I bought a 2 gig memory pro-duo with the adapter and it gave me that error even though it fit just fine. I then tried a 512 memory stick and a 1 gig memory stick and neither one worked it gave me the C:13:01 error code. So I found out the hard way that the camera will not read it. The Sony DSC-S85 will not take memory above a 128. Try the Lexar 64MB memory stick. I just bought 4 and they work perfectly fine.

Unfortunatley some cameras with not accept new tech memory formats..
Some company's will work others will have a sony cover on them but might be a different type of memory format or compression.
suxs but I have experienced it with cameras adding huge amount of gigs and getting errors but then adding another brand with huge amount of gigs again but it worked? go figure... memory is memory right? seems it's not.

SOURCE: Memory Stick error c:13:01
Is your new 2GB memory stick is original from Sony or after market? some of them will not detect in CAM because the contact on MS were not touched iside the slot of CAM
Reinsert your 512 MB MS if it work fine then change your 2MB MS
