Mine did the same thing. Solution. I took it back to the store where I got it. Fortunate for me they gave me my money back. Now I am looking for another one. What a nightmare. There is nothing that has a consistently good recommendation except Miele. Where I live they are not available. Well!! We could always go back to the scrub board. je

The washer has a spin tube that goes from the top of the transmission to the top of the wash tube. On the bottom of the spin tune there are friction pads that drop down onto a spinning plate on the top of the transmission when the washer is supposed to spin. Most of the time when you experience problems like you stated those pads have worn down to the point that the spin tuibe assy must be replaced. There is a remote possibility that your drain line is kinked or that the drain pump has failed. Based on these assumptions, if your unit is otherwise in good condition it is worth the effort to have it repaired. I hope this was helpful information.
