SOURCE: Not enough bass

its prolly the deck, did you try turning the alpine's input gain controls up...

its not the wiring, if the wiring was insuficient, it would just melt...

you might also see if you could adjust the bass frequencies or crossover frequency, the crv might just have a different resonant frequency then the rav 4

SOURCE: Amplifier wont move subs

I dont know if this will help you but start at the deck and make sure that the outputs(RCA) arent crossed over to highpass and do the same at the amp make sure that its set for lowpass- set half gain -bass boost half gain- subsonic minimum - If that doesnt help try using an i pod with an adaptor that you can play it right into the amp this is to see if you are getting signal from the deck to the amp if it doesnt work with an i pod or mp3 plugged directly into it then you may have got you a blown amp going on- good luck with that

SOURCE: i haw alpine mrp-m350 amplifier how many sub can i

Hook up the MRP-M350 to one 4-ohm sub, and you get 200 watts RMS; connect a second 4-ohm subwoofer and the power output increases to 350 watts! All that juice means that your subs won't just be loud, they'll sound clean and thumping.

Is it possible that you may have over driven the unit and blown either the power supply or output stages? Well, if the amp is getting power as you indicate the issue lies within the stages I just mentioned.

Alpine MRP-T220 car amp. When I turn on the JVC stereo, the amp plays for a split second then dies. The power light stays on, and the fuses from the battery and the amp are fine. It always worked...

Yes your amplifier is stable @ 2OHM but only in stereo mode. If you are running the amplifier in BRIDGE mode then the amplifier is stable only @ 4OHM. So if you are running a sub woofer and it requires a 2 Ohm mono load then the amplifier has either been damaged or is trying to protect itself from the wrong OHM load. You could also make sure that your GND is secured properly, as some times it could come lose from vibration and not offer a decent ground for the system. dreamsystems.

Subs dont work when base is up high

Sounds like the amps needing more current available to it-You should have 4 gauge power coming off the battery going into a distribution block from there a 4 gauge to a 1 farad capacitor off the block -4 gauge to the ground for the capacitor -and two + leads from the block to your amps-you would do well with 6 gauge there.- That is to ensure that you have plenty of power on tap when needed and not trying to draw it off your charging system on heavy current demands.Make sure that your grounds are well placed and solidly connected. As for putting 600+watts on a pair of 8z......i hope that they are the CVR or the L5 / L7 series to take that much power,I've seen it done and the ones i heard sounded badass(L7 series)-but that was at the stereo shop so they had they stuff on HITTN status up in there. If your running the "cvr" or the "comp" series you might be throwing too much power on them -might want to step up your subs to a set of 12s just to get more air moving in there- good luck

Amp makes noise. I am purchaseing a new amp

Hello termite440,

A mono amp will generally provide more power for subs. And for those Audiobahn's, you'll want something that will provide a minimum of 500-600 watts RMS to each, a least a 1000 watt amp. At the low end, something like the Alpine MRP-M1000 or the Orion HCCA-D2400 will provide 1000-1200 watts. I'd recommend the Alpine. For more power, and another $100, look at the Alpine M2000, or for another $250, the Rockford-Fosgate T1500-1bd.

Hope this helps.

How to wire 2 ohm 2 12ich alpine type r's to box terminals?

Dual 4 ohm subwoofers can only be wired @ 1 ohm, 4 ohm or 8 ohm.
2 ohm mono load is not possible.
You will need to use (1) subwoofer to get the 1000W out of the amp.
Wire both positives on one sub to + on amplifier and both - on the same sub to - on amplifier to give the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Add a second amplifier, or buy an amplifier that is 1 ohm mono stable.
You can wire both to the amplifier at 4 ohms 600W, but they will share the power and only see 300W ea.
