New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: GM5664 will not boot up, What can I do?

There's something very wrong with the boot order from your pc: apparently now it's set to boot from network - something that is done only in network servers.  This happens when the BIOS battery (or the BIOS chip itself) start failing - it's time to start saving for a new pc, this motherboard has started to show signs of old age.
Enter the BIOS and set a new order: put the cd first, then the hard disk second and finally disable all the others. Save, exit and it should boot just fine

From the description it is the hard drive, remove hardware and reseat back into position, sometimes this will restart the hard drive, if no change chances are you will need it replaced, but I would suggest getting it tested first.

Boot up issues

You need to look in the Bois at the boot options. Select for it to boot from CD/DVD rom first (optional for booting from CD/DVD to reload os) second boot device would be the hard drive. Next see if you can disable the network or ethernet boot.
The indication above is that you have network or ethernet boot as an option for booting in the bois. If the boot order is simular to what I have listed above (network last), then your hard drive could be failing. Run a hard drive test and if it fails testing, back it up right away and replace it with a new hard drive.

Hope this helps

Your laptop can't find an operating system, check the operating system as it installed properly. If its is then you need to check the hard disk drive of your laptop because it is missing from the motherboard.

Your message indicates that Pxe Boot is enabled (boot from lan card), go to bios settings and from the list of first boot options, please select the hard disk (hdd) or Cd-rom as the first boot device, reboot your system and check whether this helps or not.
It is also necessary to disconnect and reconnect your dvd/cd rom's power cable and data cable.
If you don't know how to do, then just reset the bios settings to "load default" ...
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Hangs up on boot

It is trying to boot from a network. You need to get it to boot from the optical drive (CD/DVD drive), there's no other way of installing the os, unless you can get another identical machine to load it with. If it doesn't recognize the optical in the boot menu, then you may have been more than a hard drive crash.
