Question about Ovens
Maytag electric oven - MER5770AAQ. lower heating element no longer working after self-cleaning oven. The broiler element works. We were going to attempt to replace the element, but since there is no damage to it, it must be something else - maybe the thermostat?
Hi, Unplug the oven and remove the element to test it. Check the element and see if there is continuity. If the element is open, replace it. It can be bad even tho it doesn't appear bad.
I hope this helps you.
