UNISTALL everything from Lexmark in Add/Ramove program. Re-install
from the original cd. * If you have other brands of printer software already installed, this is your problem.

Try to reseat the cartridges. Open the printer cover. Remove the cartridges and reinstall properly and securely in their slots.
Also, make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. While the firmware update helps make your printer perform more reliably and efficiently, another function of the update is to prevent the printer from working with unauthorized third-party cartridges.

Try to reseat the waste toner box and power down the printer for at least 30 seconds.
