follow the top radiator hose to where it enters the engine block, you should be able to see it if you remove the hose, though getting it out will require a little more disasembly.

There are two thermostats - one behind the upper metal housing and one behind the lower metal housing. You should really consult the owner's manual first before adjusting them. The manual is on line at the sears web site.
