Disassembly info for Nokia 6600!
First, tools...
remove keypad for cleaning N6600 - nokiany001.jpg
I used small screwdriver(*sd), torx 6(*t6) and a small pin(*sp) for prying the cover up...
Turn off phone, remove backcover, battery, mmc card and your simcard.
Insert the small screwdriver in one of these whole and "feel" the little tap in there and then push, you will see the cover lifting a bit, next take the pin and start at the bottom of the phone, pushing it in between the cover and the phoneshell, remember to keep constant pressure on the sd while prying along the bottom and lifting the cover taps.
When you get all around the phone to the next whole(red circles), then remove the sd from the other whole and insert it to the next. Apply pressure, cover will lift, and you can pry it open with the sp. Again remove the sd from the whole and use it to lirk the cover moving towards the top of the phone, one tap at the time, doing it on both sides.

This should be the result after 10 mins work.
Now use the t6 for unscrewing the screws located here:
After unscrewing the screws, four taps are holding the screen part and the PCB in place these are located here:

Use either the sd or sp to lirk down the spaces between shell and screen part. A little click tells you when you hit the tap, doesn't require any force, just find the tap and apply a little pressure... You remove keypad for cleaning N6600 - nokiany005.jpg looking at this:
For removing the PCB you need to turn it so that the PCB is lying on the table and gently press with your fingers on the PCB, in the holesremove keypad for cleaning N6600 - nokiany008.jpgnd sim card spaces.
Now you should have this:
You have now disassembled your nokia 6600! :)
Additional info:
When putting the phone back together be aware of dust, irritating to have dust on a color screen, and the front cover is very "soft", not like a 3310 cover for ex. this means that if you are not careful in the "opening" process you may do some nasty marks along the side of the front cover... - Ebay is by the way selling these in almost all colors now, so dont start crying if you messed it up... - Just buy a new one... :)
Remember, ANTISTATIC!!! - The PCB should be shown just as much care as when you're messing the home computer...

I am looking for a repair manual for the washer. Mine will not drain. Thank you so much Model # 048-GM-48030 ARKSENĀ© Portable Mini Small Washing Machine Spin Dryer Laundry, 11LBS

Hi Mike

Doubt very much that a repair manual exists.
Anyhow... It would only state the obvious... Which most repair men are aware of.
Draining a washing machine is usually done by turning on a small pump. These pumps have a small plastic impeller that can easily get blocked by threads & material in the dump water.

Simple find the access panel on back or bottom. Then trace the drain pipe back to the pump. Remove hose clips and it will probably drain on floor. Remove pump & dismantle & clean or repair.

Caution. Be aware that AC voltages of 110/240 volts can be lethal around water. Disconnect from wall while fiddling with internals.

Good Luck

Hi, Whirlpool Quiet Partner IV GU3600XTSB2 Keypad

HI. lets get right to the point here. This disruption will be the direct result of a failed main PCB(Control Board). You have done great work to isolate this damage that is located at the PCB. The key pad seems to be functioning correctly. In fact, the blinking lights are a strong indication of main logic failure at the central control unit or PCB. Due to this fact, the main board will need to be replaced, asap. This will correct your issues at hand and restore the units proper functional state. I will provide a link to the service manual for your particular unit below. Simply click that link to view and download the manual for safe keeping. The manual will guide you through the installation process for the main control board replacement procedure. i will assist as well, if needed. There will be wiring diagrams also in this manual that will guide you through the ribbon connection process so that you my connect all wiring properly, as well.

There are also more extensive troubleshooting charts embedded within the service manual that will allow for a more in-depth troubleshooting method that will fortify my solution, as well. The link for the manual is as stated below:

GU3600XT Series Universal Service Manual

This download is quite large, due to the size of the manual. I suggest to print it out for safekeeping. It covers all GU3600XT series models, including SB2, as well.

Thank you for purchasing the service and i will be on stand by for further discussion, as needed,

I am trying to find a keyboard layout so I can take the keys off and clean them. Do you know where I can download a picture or instructions for doing this. I have a Dell Inspirion 1525 Laptop. Can you help...

You can view (or download) a service manual at Dell's site here. It shows how to remove the keyboard, which will make working on it much easier for you and will prevent possibly damaging the laptop with any cleaning material.

Neither the service manual or the setup guide on the site show a detailed key layout. What I do is take a picture or two with my cell phone camera so I can remember how things look before taking them apart. You can also lay the keyboard down on a scanner, if you have one, and make a picture of it that way.

It's not hard to take the keys off as they just snap on. But they really aren't designed to be removed, and the thin plastic snap tabs are fragile. Sometimes they don't snap back on securely once they come off. Work carefully and don't use excessive pressure in snapping the keys back in place.

If you're trying to clean the keyboard because of a spill, you may just be better off replacing it. New keyboards aren't expensive (around $20 to $30), and as you'll see in the service manual they are easy to change. This site even claims they have the keyboard for under $10.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck with the repair, and thanks for using Fixya!

I cant download the service Manual for FJR1300 2001

Hi again and welcome back to FixYa,

I can understand the difficulty, the Service Manual is 18.9Mb, a bit big. I compressed the file but it will only go down to 15.2Mb. Please click here to download the rar file.

Should you need just the wiring diagram, 3 sheets here, here and here.

Incidentally, have you tried right clicking on the Service Manual link and clicking on "Save Link As" rather than opening it on a browser?

Again, good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

I need to know how to remove and clean the bowl on a 2006 Yamaha Virago 250. Model is XV250V. Are there truely free and fast diagrams/repair manuals to be found online?

Yes, there are fast and free downloads, but your bike is too new to be listed on any site I am aware of.

Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual. Most all of the manuals are in English.

As to removing the carburetor float bowl. Remove the four screws holding the bowl and tap the bowl with a screwdriver. If all you are doing is draining water from the carb all you really need to do is remove the drain screw on the float bowl then put it back in place. I can't find a diagram of your carb so I am assuming there is a drain screw.

A “very helpful” rating on this answer? Thanks!

I forgot my unlock code of n6600

TO herkjerkF3 (on a GE) means you have a failed keypad.

If yours is not a GE, please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
