SOURCE: Thermal Fuse

First of all stop replacing the fuses and using the dryer it could burn down your house. The problem is the vent is clogged (not necessarily in the dryer) make sure also that the vent flex is not excessively long behind the dryer and is not kinked when the dryer is pushed back.

SOURCE: thermal fuse keeps blowing

they will blow if the heat dont get out of the dryer and builds up inside / check and see if vent hose behind dryer is kinked or vent going outside is open / it will be one of those two.

SOURCE: thermal fuse keeps blowing

Good Afternoon,
Unless there is something restricting the ventilation I think you are having a problem with the heating coil staying on too long. If that is the case, one or more heating sensors are bad. Let me know if this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

SOURCE: Keeps blowing thermal cutt-off fuse

You need to remove the front dryer panel clean dryer completely of lint . Even where the lint filter is . Also make sure the vent hose is not kinked or filled with water and lint . I changed a thermal cutt-off 3 times in a dryer within about 2 weeks time . On the last time , removed the front panel and filter housing , and a big ball of lint fell out . Cleaned vent housing and inside of dryer and no more problems since .

If the thermostat is not functioning properly the heater will run "wide open" and overheat.

Lg dryer keeps blowing thermal fuses we have checked the thermostat and the element all have continuity

The thermostats (outlet and on element case) can still allow the heat to go to high, restricted airflow will also cause them to go.

Thermal fuse in dryer keeps blowing out

Hi Janet Douglas
Check to make sure your vent is clear, this can cause the overheat problem and blow the thermal fuse.
Also check to make sure the blower is not full of lint also as this can cause the same problem you are having happen.
Another thought:
Right after replacing a dryer element, always run the dryer on air fluff/no heat, and go outside to verify there's plenty of air coming out your vent system.
If the vent's clogged, that new element and thermal can burn out very quickly.

Thermal fuse blown on kenmore dryer what is the cause

The thermal fuse blows when the vent gets restricted and builds up too much heat. After it gets to a certain point the thermal fuse blows. Clean out the vent, keep the lint trap clean, and hopefully your problems will go away.

My dryer keeps blowing the thermal limiter fuse or switch, what ever it is called.why?

Hi candwloc..
If the thermal fuse /thermostat overheats the dryer will not operate.
It's located on the blower housing and it cannot be reset.
A vent clogged with lint can cause the dryer to overheat and keep blowing the thermal fuse/thermostat.
You can test it with an Ohm meter or continuity checker, if no continuity, replace it.because it is faulty.

Russel Hobbs RHNPC800P Slow cooker keeps blowing the thermal fuse. What would cause this???

two things, the thermostat allows the cooker to get too hot or the thermal fuse rated temperature is too low. Try get a thermal fuse with about a 10 deg higher rating.
