Question about Mitsubishi WD-52327 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I just started having the same problem with my Mitsubishi 52' DLP. i've had it for 3 years without any problems and just recently when I turn it on, a message at the bottom of the screen reads "check air flow to make sure it is not blocked, t.v will shut down in a few seconds. After I shut it down and turn it on the 3rd time, the message does not appear and the t.v works fine. Any other suggestions besides replacing the lamp thermoster?
Replacing the thermal sensor is the cure for this. If you call Mitsubishi at 1-800-332-2119, press 5 for Customer Service. Explain the problem and they will probably approve a extended warranty claim and get the repair done for free through a Mitsubishi Auth. Repair Facility. They will also help get you in touch with one near you. Do not delay in acting on this. I do not know how long the extended warranty claims for this problem will last.
Hope this helps,
