Question about Gateway MT3705 Notebook
I hear the power, the CD-drive spins initially. The power LED remains on, as well as the battery LED. The fan continues to run. When I put my old hard drive in, the wireless LED eventually turns on.
I tried it without hard drive, still it did the same thing. I put the hard drive into my desktop Power PC and it booted fine from there, I was able to reach the main desktop screen, with the start menu. I even tried different memory sticks in my laptop and it still did not show the bios screen.
I would try removing, the cd drive, hardrives out so all you have connected is the processor, and ram. If two sticks dont work try one. Try this as a starting point too see if you get a display signal from the monitor, and the bios. Also try putting in a video card in the pci or agp if the on board video isnt working.
