One possible solution: My (ongoing) theory is that these dryers develop CONDENSATION in the electronics located in the control panel. I seem to be able to "cure" the problem, but it will eventually return and require another dose of "cure." It seems to me that it is a DESIGN DEFECT from the factory.
The "cure" (and I can't speak for all similar problems, but since this is easy and free, worth a try) is to take a BLOW DRYER and BLOW DRY THE CONTOL PANEL. Use HOT, but don't FRY the plastic of the control panel, but you will have to get it HOT, not just lukewarm. And it may take a while. At the moment, I have a small "office" style heater oscillating on the control panel because my arm got tired. However this SEEMS to solve the problem, temporarily, and makes the dryer work again.
I am working on a PERMANENT cure for this and will update everyone when I have established whether my proposition will actually work. But understand this: the actual cure will likely cost $0 and be able to be performed with common household items, if my intuition is correct on this. I will let everyone know when I do.

Blinking cancel light, that won't cancel out, and won't allow other functions to be started.

While the door is closed, try pressing and holding the cancel button for about 10 seconds to see if it will clear.

Blinking "Normal" light on a Maytag model

Hi

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Blinking screen

Power supply blown
This is often caused by a dry joint at C669 in the snubber network but also check the mains bridge rectifiers reservoir capacitor (47uF, 385v) for o/c, this item is not included in the ususal p.s.u repair kits and if not checked may result in a repeat blow up !
