Casio seem to have a problem with the percentage key

I to have the same problem and have contacted Casio and awaiting an answer I type in 10+10% to get 11.1111 on the MS-7TV this is not correct. I also tryed it on other Casio calculators to get a similar problem. I thought it may be linked to the tax rate calcuation but when I changed this I get the same answer.

I get a correct answer from alternate brands of calculators.

From CASIO FAQS:
Why do I get the wrong answer when doing a percent calculation?
Make sure that you are following the correct procedure.
Adding 10%: 200 [x] 10 [%] [+]
Subtract 10%: 200 [x] 10 [%] [-]

The issue is the fact that you are adding the %. You need to Multiply it by 1.1 instead of trying to add 10%. This is a wonky equation anyway, because your not specifying what you want to add 10% of. This is why you are getting a weird answer.

How to program discount on Casio TE-2400 cash register

No need to program it. It is enabled by default. For a percentage discount, just type the percentage eg 10 then press %- button. For amount discount, type the dollar amount eg 2000 (no decimal) then press - button.

How do i calculate one constant dollar figure by 8 different percentages without re-entering the dollar figure each time?

You have to type 85 and the x key, then the = key. The result doesn't matter. Then type .1 and = key, the result will be 8.5. Then type .2 and the = key. The result will be 17, and so on!!! I wish you enjoy it. Aldo

Casio fx-82ms calculator does not give me an answer when i use the percentage button . example if i type 0.25/ 100% i get 0.25 instead of the right answer 25

Here is a sample of the percentage calculations that the calculator can perform. You will not see among them the conversion from decimals to percentages.
To convert from decimals to percents move the decimal mark 2 places to the right and append the % sign.
To convert from percents to decimals, move the decimal mark 2 places to the left.

I have a Casio FX83ES Scientific Calculator and I am trying to work out 1 out of 1700 as a percentage using it. When I type in 1/1700 I get 1 over 1700. I press S<>D and then I get...

1Ć·1700 expressed as a decimal is 0.000588235, which is 5.882...Ɨ10^-4. [NB not 10^4]

To convert this to a percent, remember that "per cent" means "per 100" which also means "divide by 100". To keep the answer correct, if you are dividing by 100 you must also multiply by 100.

The get the answer in percent, you must therefore multiply the previous answer by 100 to get 0.00588235 percent. (or 5.882...Ɨ10^-2 percent).

My calculator will not let me add or subtract percentages.

I have a Casino MS-80S and yea, the percentage works different. As example to take 100 and subtract 10%, this is what I do: 100 X 10% - and then I get the answer 90 after I press the minus key. To add the percentage instead, 100 X 10% + will give me an answer of 110, after I press the plus key.

Percentage: 100 x 5% 100 x 5 % 5

Add On: 100 + (100 x 5%) 100 x 5 % + 105

Discount:10 - (10 x 20%) 10 x 20 % - 8

Ratio: 30 = 60 x ?% 30 (division key) 60 % 50
