Question about Hoover U6630-900 WindTunnel Bagless Upright Vacuum
Was running fine - stopped for a moment to move something while vacuum was still running and when I went to start vacuuming again the agitator bar stopped turning. Cleaned the bar, husband opened the bottom to see if we could locate a reset switch ( which we couldn't find) and are at a loss. There is still suction on the bare floor mode. Vacuum is less than 7 months old. Thanks if you can help.

Unfortunately you machine is a re manufactured vacuum and has a 6 month warranty. (The RM suffix indicates this ) You should take it to your local vac shop and let them look at it. It's probably a minor issue.

Hoover.com doesn't have a manual specific to your model but there is one similar which will show how to remove the upper handle from the body.
Do you have a replacement switch? If not I believe you can buy one from Hoover (the switch and/or the upper handle assembly). Unfortunately your model isn't listed on the website, is this a new vacuum? I recommend giving them a call, that would be the easiest way.
Also remember when working with electronics to unplug the vacuum. Even when there is no power residual electricity can remain in the wires. If you feel unsure, take it to a repairman.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Loss of suction when vacuuming
I had the same problem, but it wasn't a belt. Instead, it was the input hole under the roller that was jammed up with lint and other stuff.

The vacuum has no suction at the floor. I have checked the hose, and no blockage. When I try to use the attachments, still no suction. What could be the problem.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.

You definitely have a clod between the tube by the brushroll area and the attachment hose and the best way is to take a wire hanger and make a little hook on the end to see if there is a clog, the clog is closer to the fan area and anything big would clog up the area sideways and
-- you may have to remove the top cover to see if there is a clog and to better get @ it from the top. Another suggestion is to do a belt change whether you have one or 2 belts on the vacuum and to change the belts @ the same time every 4 to 6 months. Also, check you owner’s manual under trouble shooting to see if there is something else, other wise that is what I think is the problem. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Good be a bad sensor, but if less then a year old, it is under warranty. I would take it in to a warranty repair shop and have them fix it.
