Sounds like a surge to me. Why not give Vizo call to see if anyone else is reporting the same problems. It's a fantastic tv.

SOURCE: After power outage about 30 secs my VT420M comes

You my have a bad capacitor. I had a similar problem with my 42 in Phillips. I did some research and found that a lot of electronic devices made only a few years ago were having all sorts of problems because of capacitors. They fail after 2-4 years due to a lack of preservative. If its still under warranty no big deal. If you are not, you might look into getting a new Power Supply Board.

If you are willing to open your TV up and take a look at the capacitors on the PSB(the board that the power cord comes into) you may find your problem. Blown capacitors look bulged or leak. sometimes they show no sign of a problem but if there are any visible signs you know for sure.

They are replaceable but it takes a few soldering skills.

SOURCE: Visio TV freezing and then rebooting

If you can get into the setup program, try doing a factory reset to get back to the default setup settings. This may cause you to lose apps that you have added to the set, however, but that's better than having to buy a whole new set. You also may want to see if there are any updates for the set from Visio if you don't have it set up to download and install them automatically already.

Sounds like you might need to replace the main board on the unit. Make certain you get the right one or it will not work. E-Bay might have one.

How do i fix my tv

I had the exact same problem. Thought I could fix it by replacing the thermal fuse . . . no luck there. Problem continued. After tons ( I do mean tons) of research, I found the problem to be a temperature sensor. Makes total sense ! ! ! The tv is trying to come on, but the temperature sensor is bad, telling the tv that it is too hot to operate, so it turns itself off - only to try & come back on 30 secs or so later. Hard to fix unless you know your way around tv circuits. Took me bout 3 hrs total.

I bought a 52" plasma

you can try unplugging it for 10 secs, then plugged back in. Press and hold the menu button and minus volume button on the actual tv. While still holding those two buttons, press the power button. Continued to hold the menu and minus volume button for additional 3 secs. The tv should turn on in about 30 secs. If that does not work call customer care.

JVC 42 inch LCD HD TV has no picture or sound

utencilio posted this fix. It worked for my JVC LT-42X579.

Okay, I found a fix! Called JVC, spoke to somebody there, here it is:
1)unplug the TV completely, no wall no power strips, completely
2)wait 10 sec
3)plug TV back in and Turn it on, the light will still be doing the same thing
4)wait 30 sec
5)ON THE TV, not the remote, locate the menu, volume (-) and power button.
6)while simultaneously holding down the menu and volume (-) button, pressed the power button ONCE and continue to hold the other 2 for 10 sec.
7)on the remote control, go to menu>settings>system info
*** now this I know as a FACT will work on systems that display: JVC - ver.5.32FO001, but I don't know of any other versions***
8)press the mute button on the remote twice
9)unplugg TV again and wait 10 sec.
10) plug TV in and turn on

It SHOULD be working normally now... Thanx to the guys a JVC support for this one, I know it seems like an obvious first place to look, but sometimes it isn't. I for one checked online forums first
