Question about Canon CLC-700 Copier

1 Answer

Copier won't stay on. Canon clc700

Clicks off as soon as you remove your hand from the button switch. If you hold the switch, it seems to be trying to start up, but as soon as you release the button, the machine turns off again.

Most likely the either the scanning lamp or the fuser lamp circuit has on 'open' in it. Check the fuser lamps to make sure they are not burned out and make sure the thermal fuse it good.

Hello pattrickdavi
Try this solution :
Start with printer off
  1. Press and hold resume Button (triangle in the circle) and click "Power" button. Green led should be on
  2. While holding the Power button, release the Resume Button.
  3. Without releasing the Power Button, click "Resume" button for two times and release Both Buttons.
  4. Click "Resume" for four times then soon click "Power" button, to confirm the selected action (reset counter absorber).
  5. Turn off the printer and turn on again This solution came from http://www.fixya.com/support/t4097826-aborber_full_error_message#sf and seems to work with several issues . Good luck ! fanaudi .

Most likely, you have a problem with the scanning lamp.... When you turn the copier on, will it turn right off? If so, try to hold the power switch "ON". The Display pannel will flash a Error Code... It may be a E0200 or E0220 or E000. Get the Error Code and get back to us... I think you have a heat or scanning lamp is shorting out... Good Luck

Try holding the Reset button for 5 seconds or more; this may have to be repeated several times.

Canon Elura 60 zooms by itself

Listen, I know it's a couple of years after this post but, try this: Remove cassette, push to close, close camera as if to use it, hold firmly in left hand, open hand slap it with your right hand once or twice, (I'm not joking) it worked the two times I had this problem. Problems with the zoom? Almost same process, push firmly on zoom button (to un-zoom) try doing this as your tapping it. These are last ditch efforts on an aging camera, it really has been a good one. I've put this poor thing through years of abuse, and it's held up pretty well. Good luck, Jeff S.
