I've had the wireless Keyboard for 4 years now and it hasn't paired with not one computer and I've replaced my Apple MacBook Pro 3+ times. Its just that last key on the pairing that won't allow the keyboard to pair..

Did you make sure the keyboard is 100% compatible with Apple products? Only specific keyboards will work with an Apple product.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I want to make the enter key the shift key

Keyboards conform to specific layouts and you can reassign keys.

The only conceivable way would be to write software that allowed you swap keys. It would also need to create a keyboard hook to intercept all key strokes and change them. (This software doesn't exist) but it is possible to create something.

Back and enter key not working

Try your keyboard on another PC. If it still doesn't work then it's a hardware problem. Try to return it or get a replacement from the company.

Is it possible to use any alternate key for my damaged enter key

Hi there,

the only option apart from replacing the keyboard (which is easy but usually fairly expensive) would be to use the on screen keyboard which you control using the mouse.
you activate the on screen keyboard through Programs->accessories->ease of access and select on screen keyboard

Hope this helps

Ms 8000 mouse pairing code

You choose your own code. It's a keyboard right? So it has numbers on it...and an Enter key.
1. Press and hold in the small button next to Bluetooth symbol under the keyboard for 5 seconds. The charge indicator lights at the top of the keyboard should alternate flashing red then green.
2. Search for Bluetooth devices on the devices you wish to connect the keyboard to. The Keyboard should be listed there.
3. Enter a code of your choice into the device you are paring the keyboard to and submit it. I used a 4 digit number which worked without a problem.
4. Type the same code and press Enter on the Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000 Keyboard.
The keyboard should now be paired with your device.
Good luck, - GregAndo

To get you buy temporarily, buy a portable flexible laptop for 15 bucks at Bed, Bath and Beyond (they have a nice little gadget area) This will allow you access, the keyboard can be rolled up when not used and is USB. Then either search for a "key" or the whole keyboard on Ebay...they are usually 15-25 bucks. Below is the service manual for your laptop for disassembly of needed components.

a passkey will appear on the computer

enter this passkey on the keyboard then press enter.
