SOURCE: Vertical Lines on Screen

I believe I have the problem component identified. It is U15 on the main board. The part is:
MTL015GF
0616A140V1
The manufacturer name is Myson Century. At this time I can not find a replacement. If anyone out there can suggest where to get this part I'd appreciate it.

SOURCE: I have a UltraVision LCD

hi,
You have to check the power supply of your tv first . If any one of the electrolytic capacitor in the power supply board is fauly then this problem can occur. One more reason is that, the back light inverter bord. It uses hight voltgae inverting transformers. If any one of the transformer's winding is short the it will make popping sound. If so there is no repair possible with this inverter board you have to replace this board with a new one. First of check the power supply is there is any budged electrolytic capacitor (pointed by the read arrows) like in the picture. If so replace the same will solve the problem. If not it is the inverter board. It will look like one in the picture.
OK

Hang problem

Computers, no matter the make or the model, have a tendency to freeze up. This typically occurs when you overload the RAM on the computer and the laptop can not process any more information. When your laptop freezes, you are not left with many options, so you'll you need to restart the system.

1.Press and hold "CTRL," "ALT" and "Delete" at the same time. Wait and see if a prompt window loads. If one does you can select the program causing the crash and close it. This allows you to return to using the laptop.
2.Push and hold the power button until the system turns off. Typically, you need to hold the power button down for a few moments before the laptop shuts down.
3.Remove the power cord from the laptop if the power button does not turn the computer off. Occasionally this can occur, in which case you need to find an alternative way of cutting the power.
4.Flip the laptop over if the power button is not turning the computer off. Find the battery compartment on the bottom of the laptop and remove it from the computer. Momentarily the computer shuts down. Leave the battery out for a few moments.
5.Insert the battery back into the computer and press the power button. Shortly, the computer restarts and begins to load the operating system.

I hope you find it very helpful.

My digital tv keeps freezing it is an Alba TV and we live in bournemouth and it says we don't have coverage at the moment but we get all the chnnels its just every now aqnd again the picture jutters and...

Because you are receiving digital transmissions, if the signal is too weak your picture will break up and pixilate. In the days of analougue you would just get a snowy picture. If you are getting the channels, you might want to consider investing in a booster and a digital antenna. Install the booster as near to the antenna as possible to get the best out of it.

Trouble with Tuner 2

From experience, I suspect that the dish has lost it's optimum "focus" on the satellites, and your signal has dropped. In your case, tuner #2 just happens to need a little more signal than tuner #1 - and that's revealing the root problem.

If you can have a second person handy, use the signal meter function and view the signal. Then one person should move the dish a bit (likely upward a hair). If the signal goes up with just the slight movement of the still tight dish, that's the problem.

If so, it's time to align the dish.
