Question about Jaguar 1998 XJ8 Base
Engine code P1396, VVT, after changing timing chains and tensioners on a 98 Jaguar XJ8 base model. Variable Valve Timing code has become problematic. I've tested all the connectors and the solenoids, triple checked the timing and torn everything back down to chain replacement a second time with the same result. There was no code before the chains were done. I've followed advice from other forums and done everything they said to check and I can't work out the VVT issue.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
